A completely empty stadium sends the loudest message

Never an option for true Cane fans. Crowds are for the players. Never forget that.if the team loses more then four games this year and doesn't win the coastal there will be a change no matter whether the stadium is packed or not.

People are always making this bolded statement like it is some badge of honor. Like your going to get some recognition for your loyalty. While you are claiming 'crowds are for the players', your money goes to the leadership that helped us get to where we are today.

'Doesn't prove himself this year..." is the remark of an idiot that I've seen over and over. He has had FOUR years and has shown his incompetence.

Where have I supported the coach? I've stated if he doesn't have a big turnaround this year he should be fired. Been saying so since last season. Pointing out the lies and BS that you guys spew in your over-the-top attacks is not equivalent to support.

Classic IQ72 clown act. Says he doesn't support Golden, but then says Golden should have another year to prove himself after 4 years of proving himself incompetent and coming off a 6-7 season with a roster full of NFL players. In SuperTard Land where IQ72 is President claiming Golden should have another year to prove himself is not support.

Considering he isn't getting fired before the season begins, what exactly is your point? If he doesn't prove himself this year he is gone. How is that supporting Golden? Or should we all just b itch and moan about something we can't change or impact. Either he wins or he doesn't and y'all get your wish.

I don't talk to UM shills with 9 posts. Carry on.

coming from the nerd who has 13k posts on here? Get a life man.

Lol, but you guys will pack sun life for Dolphins games. They are professionals who are paid millions of dollars, to do absolutely nothing. But, you won't support 18-21 yr old young men. Makes sense!

Season Tickets received....YEAH BUDDY!

This thread is rock bottom for those of you who call yourselves Canes fans. Just horrible. I, and every other Canes fan, have been there in good times and in bad. We were there during the probations years, when people were flying banners over the Orange Bowl. We sat through Radio's reign. We were there when we were successful. It makes the ride so much better. It makes success that much sweeter when you go through the tough times. It's even better when you go through the tough times with loved ones. Its even better when you get to share the successful moments with loved ones. I'm gonna keep going to the games with my Pops. **** you for trying to discount something that is special to me.

The loudest message will be from our record. If this season goes the way we think it will, then all will be taken care of. The administration already got the ******* point. Attendance already sucks. They already saw the banner. They see us on twitter. There's no sense in creating more unnecessary harm. Our money and time will benefit the next coach and the program as a whole. If we win 14 games, then great--I'll see you ****ers on the bandwagon. I'll save some space.

LOL. Yeah, okay man. The administration gets the ******* point so much that they retained Golden after going 6-7 in his fourth year. If that isn't loud enough then I'm not sure what is.

Hope you enjoy the banner at Bethune.

sends a message to the players, recruits, potential future coaches, potential for a better TV contract... on and on.. yes it sends a message indeed.

No affect whatsoever on a tv contract. Miami has always been one of the most watched teams when televised nationally

LOL. Yeah, thats right man.

You know the facts. You know the details of Golden's massive contract. We could have gone 0-12 and Golden wouldn't have been fired. Even if I'm wrong and you're right (we will never really know), I'm going to choose to believe that. There is nothing definitive either way. You see the improvements in facilities. I drive by them every single day. It's real. Do they embellish it? **** yes. Golden is a salesman. It still doesn't mean that its not real. Are we getting a stadium? Right now looks like **** no. Is a stadium even feasible? I have no idea.

Really, can it get any worse? What are you expecting, 1 person in the stands? Our attendance is already **** poor, but you people wouldn't know that--you're not at the games.

Uh, I don't think anyone is debating whether or not the improved facilities are real are not. At the end of the day, they are "real" and they are nice. Thank god we are now only 5 years behind everyone rather than 15. Improvements or not, the performance on the field has sucked for over ten years now. For over a decade, the administration has made mistake after mistake after mistake. I'm sorry that a few new facilities and a stadium renovation that they didn't pay for doesn't do anything for reversing the overall damage they have done to the football program.

Them building facilities hardly means that they understand the fanbase's frustration nor are going to make real changes that impact the product on the field. If you need to delude yourself into thinking that, then be my guest. The "nice" approach hasn't worked for again, over a decade now.

I'm not sure what I expect, but sitting around like everything is okay never has been the way to change anything.

re: Golden's potential "massive" K. I don't really want to hear it. I really don't believe Miami is as poor as you seem to think and I'm tired of this age old excuse for every ****-up at Miami.

I don't disagree with anything you said. I'm just stating things that we know for a fact. We're never going to top the traditional state schools in terms of facilities. We can all understand that. We never have and we never will. The on field product is largely a product of all that stuff.

We had facilities that we couldn't even compete--it was utterly laughable. Everyone had the ridiculous weight rooms, the athlete cafeterias, the indoor facilities, the athlete dorms, etc. We had NONE OF IT. We hired a cheap coach because... who would even want to come coach here at that time? You think they wanted to use our D2 infrastructure? How many coaches did we go through before we found one? Remember when Butch was hired? A ton of coaches turned down the job.

When was the Schwartz center completed? Like 2 years ago? Golden was hired 4 years ago? The fact is, improvements have been made to our foundation and we're much better off now than we were before. We're going to be able to attract a better coach because of it. Money going into the program for the good of the program is a good thing. It's always a good thing.

wouldn't spend money on the team personally but for those that live in SFla that can actually attend should if they want to. the attendance won't matter to Miami administration. at this point it's all about performance that will decide Al's fate. Whether he wins/loses in front of a full house or empty box doesn't matter. ACC money covers their needs.

Why did Big East throw Temple out?

And the ACC will throw Miami out for the same reason. One Wake Forest is enough...and at least that school has some academic prestige. We bring absolutely NOTHING to the ACC either academic or sports related. Plus, some of the NC schools never wanted us in the first place. FSU and us probably paved the way for Louisville to get in because they realized they needed some more "Dumb Kid Schools" to elevate the league in sports because Miami never filled their end of the bargain. The school's just gonna grab those ACC bucks for as long as they can, knowing they can't fool the conference forever.

Gotta give Shalala credit. She squeezed as much out of this bunch of Tobacco Road clowns as she could. (While spending ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on sports programs while she did.)
