I don't know the reason some argue over to go to games or not. Frankly, what I do with my entertainment dollars is my business! If a group a people like or don't like a movie does not affect my decision if I should go or not. If any form of entertainment ever gets me that emotionally in a knot that I feel a need to express my rage on the internet everyday, then it is time to find something else to do with my time and dollars.

My family has been going to games the past few decades. Some of the greatest memories I have growing up is sitting in the OB with my dad with a whole section to ourselves, just watching the game and bonding. This year we decided not to renew season tickets and initially vowed not to attend the games. The coaching staff and administration doesn't deserve the money or support.

However, after talking with my dad, we decided we would be going. Some of the greatest memories we all have is watching the games. My dad is getting up there in age and I don't know how many more seasons he will get to see. Golden can drag the program down, but he can't diminish the love we have for the Canes. So, for better or for worse, we will be there.

We all have different feelings/convictions about how to deal with the sad state of the program. I won't fault people for their choices and I think it is childish to do so. If you enjoy going to games, support the kids and hope for wins (you could do that and still hate the coach and demand his dismissal) by all means go. If your anger is far more than your game enjoyment/rooting for the players then don't go.

The reason the team sucks is because Golden, Shannon, and more importantly, the administration completely mishandled anything and everything about this program for a while now. They either failed to see it coming or didn't care but either way it's messed up. In the grand scheme of things attendance is always pretty sad for all but maybe 1 game. The local fans are meaningless when it comes to a "national team" like Miami. I'm in Chicago and somehow I was able to see almost every game thru some form of free ESPN coverage. WHY? Because this team draws national TV interest..period. Local fans are not the reason this team sucks and you wont be the reason they're good again.
This team being legit again is solely on the shoulders of this administration and what they do with their coaches, marketing, stadium, etc.
I think the adidas move and SunLife renovations are positive and it seems like the recruiting vibe is a little better....but now they have to take that momentum, think bigger and go get a "next level" coach to bring this team back where it needs to be.

And it felt **** good to voice my opinion on a "recorded line" with those customer service reps when they called to ask why. Hopefully someone higher up the food chain heard it.
