A Civil case

I would like to discuss the need or desire for civility in a social media forum based on shared values such as this one supporting Canes.

The abundance of “dumb” and “boring” and other down-votes on posts and threads is getting pretty bad. It is one thing to “disagree” with, or discourage someone being an idiot, hateful, misleading, obscene, and so forth. But if something doesn’t interest you or strike your fancy, why not leave it alone, or leave that thread. Think of having a conversation with a friend or family member whose feelings you actually care about.

There are enough bad feelings and hate in the world these days. Please for the sake of the Canes “family” tradition and good will and civility, try a little harder. Thank you.
Now what in the **** did this post get you?
A Red tail, longer than mine..

I think that went well . . .

A less personal “offensive scheme” might be just having “agree” or “disagree”… although I’m kinda fond of the “funny” button, myself.

maybe also we can have a “please be gentle. I’m fragile” button, so we can let the others know when we are sad.

This thread is a microcosm of what’s wrong in our societ😂😂. PC cultural has been replaced with a low civility culture. All started with social media and boards like these. Some on here live their..own alternative reality on this ****. Keyboard talk/toughness..I try to stay away from insulting ppl on this...If I do a reaction to a post I’ma respond to it. Some just see a persons post or point of view one time then go back and negatively react to all your **** on some femal ****..well intended thread but ain’t gonna happen bruh lmao
Eh... this was a troll job.

I was commenting on your "so whats the big deal about disagreement" point which I agree with.

Mods have indicated "personal attack" such as stupid, retarded, idiot, moron etc. have no place here and won't fly. I just don't see how "dumb" is much different. Actually, I am a bit surprised they left that button when they updated the policy recently.

Yea I know u agreed and got what I was saying... I was just taking things to the absurd extreme.

For the few (without naming) here that make it a habit of disliking (X) everything, I would like a maximum of one dislike per thread, or require people to reply and explain in order to enter a dislike.
