***** a billboard, THIS is what we need to do...

So apparently there is this thing called a tifo, which is a big coordinated sign or banner done within a stadium. It usually happens at soccer matches.

So the Orlando City fans in the Supporters section unveiled this tifo on Saturday.

It says "We are not f-ing leaving" and then "Owners 2, Coaches 3, Seasons 5, Players 129, Losses 77", though I am fairly certain that we have had 4 coaches in 5 years.

This is what we need to do.

So I'm not sure this tifo means what you think it means... This isn't the fan base taking shots at the OCSC ownership or front office - it's them saying they are loyal no matter how good or bad the team is. They are taking a shot at bandwagon fans/supporters of other MLS teams.

Signed - an OCSC supporter

Here are some examples of other TIFOs from OCSC over the past couple of years. The supporter section is pretty creative...

You can’t get signs into our stadium. 10 years ago, I made a sign that said TEXAS A&M LIKES ATM, and brought it into hard rock, and I some how didn’t get kicked out, but I was in the student section and the sign was a poster board.
I highly doubt a 2 story high depiction of Jordan Belford will make it to the gate.

Can’t believe you got away with that. Probably most people didn’t even know what it meant

Bull and ****e.

They called out ownership and coaching changes. I am an OCSC season ticket holder from the beginning, and we have gotten worse every year.

If it was intended to be "supportive", then they did a bad job of it. Good lord, they didn't even get the number of coaches right. Heath, Kreis, O'Connor, and Pareja. Four, not three. Unless you count the interim, who coached 7 matches in 2 stints, which would give us 5 coaches.

If that thing was "supportive" of Orlando City, then it was as successful as the billboard in Coral Gables.

Do most OCSC fans agree? Because you can't get any two Canes fans to agree that the sun rises in the East.

While many of us in the supporter section disagree with the direction the team has taken and decisions around coaches/players, I can 100% promise you the tifo was not meant for them.

PS - front office is part of the process in deciding whether a tifo is appropriate or not. We don't just show up with a tifo and surprise them on match day...

I wasn't questioning the Jordan Belfort part of the tifo, but it would be very easy to get the "2 owners/3 coaches" part into the stadium separately. My seats are down low on the sideline closer to the scoreboard, I couldn't see the tifo material up close, but it wouldn't be hard to bring the wording into the stadium in parts.
