If Bama wins out and Ohio State beats Whisky (both likely) AND we win our next two, there is no CREDIBLE scenario that keeps us out of the playoffs even if we lose the ACC Championship game. Only a blowout of us (not happening) raises any doubt. Worst case, it would be Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and us.

If it wasn't us, I would agree with you. Right now many people have OU and Clemson ahead of us, still. Now, if we completely destroy UVA and PITT, get some help, AND lose a nailbiter to Clemson, there's a decent chance we'd make it in. I just don't want to worry about that. We win, and we're in. Probably at #2 , and a decent chance at #1 .

Give me a scenario where we don’t get in based on what I said. A one loss Whisky? A two loss Ohio State? A two loss Washington or USC? Not happening...

And I’m not sure “they” don’t want us in. They know having us back is good for the game and ratings. But the seats on this train are going fast.

If you read the tweets of Wolken and others this morning you'll see that there is a thread of bias that says in no scenario will Miami lose the ACCCG and still get in the playoff.

Actually the reverse is true...we could be upset by Virginia, win out and then we are probably still in the playoffs

2 loss Auburn would jump us. One loss Bama would be in.

This is correct ONLY IF we just beat the brakes off of UVA and Pitt and lose by a fg or something to clemson.

The beautiful scenario I see in my mind is our d front seven doing to Bryant what Syracuse did to him. Smash him like tostones from a Cuban restaurant. And coming out of this game as the unanimous #1 seed.

The committee will put us in for now, but if we lose I think they'll take some other 1 loss over us. They'll say we don't have enough quality wins or something. I wouldn't be surprised if VT and/or ND lose some more at which point, everybody will forget that they expected us to lose those games and how we overperformed.

Whatever. Nothing we can do but win them all and force them to respect us.

Unless we get blown out in Charlotte and Bama wins out and Ohio State beats Wisconsin, we are not getting squeezed out by a 2 loss team. Not happening.

This team and its staff does not want to back into any playoff.

They will be ready and they will win in Charlotte. I am very confident of that.
