They could move us to number 1, and it won't matter if we don't take care of the next game. Could care less how we win, but I do care how we lose. So do the polls. All that needs to happen is to take it one game at a time and have at least one more point than whoever we're playing that given week. Polls will handle themselves, team needs to handle theirs. So far each is doing their jobs.

TCU and Pedo State were probably saying "This" too......all the way up to when they were snubbed.

I'm not worried about being snubbed. That's worrying about something that none of us control. If we run the table, all the way through, we still win.

Which is probably a fair standard for THIS year. Just be ready to apply that standard to all future years for us too in this system.

I'm hoping that our margins improve from here on out. If we run the table Richt can make a compelling argument to rope these kids in to bolster depth, and talent. Those gains should result in those margins growing.

The media will come around if we keep winning. Lose then it's I told you so from them to us. So just keeping winning.

Clemson last year had 7 1 possessions score games in the 2016 season, fsu in 2014 had 6 1 possession score game. The narrative is different only because miami.... we are winning and still have dropped 2 straight weeks even with teams losing ahead of us including a team losing directly to a team we just beat

Lol at yet another ridiculous comparison to 2016 Clemson. Five of those one-possession wins were against ranked opponents, including Alabama, Louisville, Auburn, FSU, and VA Tech.

We don’t have one comparable win yet.

Speaking of Clemson, did you see the way they beat up GA Tech. Had a couple of our wins been dominant like that, we would get the benefit of the doubt and not fall in the rankings.

Regardless, as others have said, we’ll be in the top four if we win the next two games.

Clemson is good but I think they lucked out getting GT in the rain. GT is a different team with a wet ball, like what happened to turn momentum to us when we played.

I would say coaches poll is least reliable. Ton of coaches don't even fill it out themselves until the end of the season.

As another poster said, we could be ranked #1 right now and it wouldn't make a **** bit of difference. We win tomorrow and we are sitting pretty tight to play in the ACC championship game for the first time (really sad to type that). Don't win and it's the same old song. In fact, being ranked higher would probably be worse, because I want players to be angry going into the VT game.

You're seriously surprised by this? OU beat a top 5 team & lost to a top 25 team. Clemson is the defending national champs. We can't play a complete game (offense/defense) and destroy a 1-7 team that a #8 team in the country should destroy... yet you think we should be top 5? Take the orange&green glasses off homie. The difference with what? Wisconsin hasn't beaten anyone and Ohio State has only beaten Penn State who hasn't beaten anyone. The point is that these teams are sucked off to the point where it simply doesn't matter if they lose. Don't know what's the point of playing the games anymore.

I like exactly where Miami is ranked because now the canes have a chance to not only basically wining the coastal but prove that they are a playoff team by beating VT this Saturday and if they do they should move up over those 1 loss teams and lets say they don't move up much by beating VT you better believe they will move up alot if they beat VT and ND back to back weeks and by alot I'm talking top 4 for sure.
