9-3 a Good Season?

It'll be that much worse.

That means the roster is ready to compete for a playoff RIGHT NOW and this team and coaches completely **** the bed.
Bruh certain people on here I'm willing to concede they know atleast a lil bit about foosball. U were one of those people. But by saying things like this I'm sorry but I may have to reconsider that applying to you... You tell me (since you're clearly stating poo is a playoff level team) are you not willing to admit how often they've struggled this year? How easily they have 3 or 4 losses RIGHT THIS SECOND? Is Boston college a playoff worthy team READY TO COMPETE RIGHT NOW? Is Clemson a playoff ready team? Etc etc. I get that wins are all that matters. But there's such a thing as an eye test too and I'm sorry but poo DOES NOT pass that test. They've struggled heavily all throughout the season at various moments and we're able to pull out games that the other team gave away. Maybe you feel that shows character of a team etc. Because to me I look at them and I see **** near a carbon copy of us. They don't impress me at all and win or lose that won't change my opinion of them. Would we really be that much more impressive of a team if we would've taken a knee against an inferior team(who whooped Carolina)or would we still have learned something regardless of the outcome about where we are as a squad RIGHT NOW? Does us eaking out this game against uva make us that much more impressive? Cause if it does than all these crying *** hoe *** fans should simply shut the **** up. For me as I can only speak for myself, I know exactly what this team is and I'm seeing MOST THINGS I need to see. I'm not concerned about who we are RIGHT NOW. I'm concerned about us growing together as a team now FOR OUR FUTURE. That's all I need to see. How we respond to adversity. As a team we're fighting. Part of our adversity right this second is in the form of our veteran leader. But we still ain't quitting and that's what I wanna see.

& To clarify before people waste both our time going back and forth on it. When I say I see them as a carbon copy of us and I'm impressed by things with us while nothing about them outside of grittiness catches my attention. Than context has to be applied. We're in the second year of a complete rebuild and we're a team NOTHING was expected of. No matter what this stupid *** thread is about VEGAS which is pretty accurate with setting a bar had us at either 7 or 7.5 wins depending on what book you went to. Poo on the other hand has been a top 10 team rankings wise all season and is considered a playoff worthy top 5 squad now. So to see similarities in both our games shouldn't be their bar. It should be ours. We're not a upperclassmen led team while they are. Etc etc. So while we should be encouraged by seeing us fight through adversity and come together as a team well they went through this the last two seasons. No excuse for mediocrity out of them.

No, beating FSU in Tallahassee would be unequivocally the best thing that could possibly happen to this program, regardless of anything else that transpired/transpires this season.

FSU played like **** late vs BC, but they've only had a tight **** game against a terrible Clemson team.

If we can take them into a one score game with under 8 minutes, anything can happen. The pressure on them is going to be unbelievable.

IMO, a 10 win season would be an extraordinary achievement with this roster. I don't think we have enough impact players to challenge for a playoff spot. Bain has been a revelation, but I think the deficiency at CB would eventually have caught up to us. If almost everything goes right and we get lucky bounces, I think we'd be 7-1 today. Sucks that the GT game ended the way it did, but if we are able to go 3-1 instead of 2-2 to end the season, that still gives us a shot at a 10 win season (if we include the bowl game). I think we end up right where we'd have ended up, even with a win over GT. We should beat NC St and BC. I don't like our matchup with FSU because of how mobile the FSU QB is (plus they have an excellent WR who is going to be in 1 on 1 coverage all day). So the toss up game will be Louisville. We get them at Hard Rock, so it shouldn't take a miracle to win it. Then we are in position for a really fun bowl game, a ton of recruiting momentum, and a 10 win season. I wouldn't care that much about the GT game at that point.

Gotta make it a 4th quarter possession game. Our oline is better..or Dline can hold its on..it will be real interesting

Regardless of what's happened this season for us and our opponents, my initial thinking going into the season was:

8-4 - expected. Not over achieving or under achieving
9-3 - best case. A tad bit of over achieving

I haven't let the last 8 games change my mind. We were an abysmal team last year and have been for 2 decades. Could we have maybe won 10 games this year, sure, but wasn't my expectation.

That means I'd like to see continued improvement in '24. 9-10 wins at least with 11 being overachieving.

I'd be ecstatic even with 8-4. Seeing as Miami teams of the past decade would probably be 3-5 right now. Especially last years team. No way they come back on A&M, Clemson, and UVA

Yes, especially if the loss isn't to F$U!!

As others have said, finishing 10-3 would be great!!

Ofc that would be amazing for this season, precisely because that seems so unlikely rn lol. There’s not a game left that is a gimme, and we won’t win a single one of them unless major adjustments are made on the offensive side of the ball here quick.

IF we play to our strengths (Massive OL) and pretty good D we have a shot of going 3-1. TVD has ALL DAY back there so he has the time to go through his progressions and that is what he should be working on this week. We have a shot at winning 3 games if we execute. Let's see how this plays out. Having said that UVA was by far our worst game this season and we are lucky we won that one. LEAN heavily on the trenches and for the love of god use the TE in passing game.
