Of all the QB’s I believe Erickson is the most underrated ever of the UM greats. Another what if? Guy if he doesn’t blow his knee at the Hula Bowl if memory serves me right.
Yes, he injured a knee in the Hula Bowl. He was drafted by the Eagles, but never signed and was drafted by the Bucs the following year.

Erickson played in seven National Football League season seasons, from 1992 to 1998. His best year as a pro came during the 1993 season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he threw for over 3,000 yards and 18 touchdowns. Erickson is known as one of the few professional athletes outside of baseball who came back from Tommy John surgery.

The reason the SI headline was "NO DOUBT ABOUT IT" was because Boo Hoo Lou and the rest of the domer faithful were belly-aching that ND should be #1.
Lol, even after we kicked their *** the final game of the season....smh.

Bernard Clark had a monster game that night.
The 23 play drive including the 3rd and 43 was a soul crushing drive.
