On 4th and short we sent all the big guys in and Brown got tackled behind the LOS. #83 was in motion and whiffed his block and his guy tackled Brown. Woudn't have mattered because the play wasn't going anywhere, which my wife could've told you would happen because she painfully watches this team with me every weekend.

Anyway, there's no #83 on the roster. Anyone know who that is?

It was SJ I think. And he’s terrible.

The 5'11 blue chip center we signed.

So, at a critical moment in the game needing a 1st down, Miami inexplicably (1) runs the most predictable play in the world, and (2) leaves a critical block to a player who never plays.

Everyone's hating on Mario right now, but there's no way Mario is in charge of personnel for that play. Is that Dawson?

What big time college football coach puts an unreliable, unproven, young player in at that critical moment?

The real question you should be asking is, what kind of moron runs straight up the gut against an 11 man front? They had everyone at the line of scrimmage because they knew what we were going to run. Any good coach would’ve sneaked a TE over the top and hit them with a big play.

Isn't that the play where the back clearly went to the wrong side, the hole was there on the right...
Yeah. The 3rd down before the field goal to make it 20-17. I hate the formation, I hate the play call, SJ whiffed that block, but Brown straight up missed the hole to the right for that stupid cutback and SMU was filling left anyway, I don’t know that SJ whiffing made a difference.

according to Dawson, position coaches are responsible for player rotations, unless he request a specific player

His forward motion is right up 52’s *** and he cuts left as he is coming into the line. His head looks angled/looking to the left from the jump.

The DL crashes the middle and the backers are going to the left (their right) immediately.

He expected to go that way from the beginning and they did as well.

Its wild the back chose that direction. There was nothing there immediately but the right side, he probably could have scored.
