8 Team Playoffs

It's a great idea.

It will give schools like us a chance & that's all you need to help that much more in recruiting.

Also, if the first round is a home-playoff game at the top 4 seeds campus's, then after that you go to the final 4 it would be great for revenue and viewership.

It should be 6 teams like the NFL.

All the P5 Champs & one at large bid for the best of the rest (undefeated G5 champ) top 1 & 2 seeds get a bye.

If we had 8 teams this year, it would be
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma
5. UGA
6. Oh St
7. Michigan
8. UCF

Out of that 8, UGA & Mich don't deserve an opportunity to play for a National championship, they don't belong in the playoffs because they lost their conferences convincingly & both had losses vs playoff teams. Mich lost to Notre Dame & UGA lost to Bama, along with bad losses vs LSU (for UGA) & to Oh St (for Mich).

Ok I'll ask this question once more. What teams outside the top 4 do people need to see play again?

So five SEC teams and Notre Dame every year.
I said all P5 champs, meaning ACC, B1G, Big XII, Pac-12 & SEC champions, plus one at large for an undefeated G5 champ.

Using that formula there would never be 2 SEC teams in the playoffs.

what about a 2 or 3 loss conference champion and a runner-up in a conference that has only 1 loss ? then what ?
