8-4 is improvement

Bro, UM is not a bad team. This is easily a 10 win team with some different coaching decisions. Georgia Tech- that's an obvious one. And then NC St, it was obvious to everyone that TVD was extremely banged up and it was affecting his play. And on top of that the Dawson/Cristobal offense was at peak stupidity. TVD is missing everything, the OL isn't blocking well, yet we are limiting damage. Score is 7-6 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd half. 3rd and 16 at the Miami 15. Mr. Tuff and Fisical decides it's time to go air raid, it leads to a sack and fumble. D holds and only gives up a FG. But just punt the ball and play defense. It is a braindead decision especially given how the offense was floundering.

And here are the possessions

1st half

FUMBLE

2nd half

MISSED 45 yard FG

Take out TVD and give Williams some snaps. The team already showed it would respond to him because we saw it at Clemson. I think if Cristobal makes the switch at halftime, we win the NC St game. So now that's 9-3, and a bowl game gets us 10. So let's not get "poorly coached team" and "bad team" mixed up.
You nailed it bro. Poorly coached. The talent was there all alone

Agreed. **** the ACC. We’re 8-4.

These people that say, "you are what your record says you are", can explain to me why 12-0 G5 teams don't make the playoff. Or why LSU made a championship game with 2 losses. People don't want to think very hard so they live in absolutes because it doesn't take as much brain power.

This was an 8 win team that, in their 4 losses, had two halftime leads and were beating the "#4" team in the country in the 3rd quarter. Needless to say, they were competitive in every game they played. Which is a great improvement and if you say it's not, I'm sorry but you're a moron.

This is also a team with a lot of holes that still need to filled and a coaching staff that has serious flaws that need to be addressed.

If the issues aren't fixed then this will forever be an 8/9 win team. If they want to get to the next level they need to improve themselves. This isn't the case that improvement in year 3 is a guarantee.
