8-4 is improvement

we earned 7-5 so that's what we are

need a bowl win to get us to 8-5 to feel the momentum shifting

next year needs to be a 10-win season

Anyone saying that there hasn’t been progress isn't really watching. If you’re saying there hasn’t been progress just because you look at the record then you’re just a hater.
Boston College is usually a slug fast at this time of the year and we’ve never gone in there and handle them or blow them out. Even some on here said this might even be a loss
or a close game. And this was said even at the beginning of the season. People were legit shook that we wouldn’t be ready for Boston College in November.
It’s at the end of the season while on an 3 game slide. For the past 20 years, the teams we’ve had have just quit and slide Into a depressive ending with a loss. Players look lazy and checked out.
So today we had two 6-5 teams and we totally bullied them. The talent disparity couldn’t have been more obvious.
But people are still going to stick to the record and say that there’s been no progress.

The attitude of this team couldn’t have been more different than in the past.

Yes, we were a few plays from being 8-4 or even 9-3.
The injury bug didn’t plague us as much as last year, but it did plague us at the biggest position.

The only attitude that hasn’t changed are fans who are quick to demand changes only because the coach that they wanted isn’t coaching the team or the coach that we do have isn’t running the system that they want.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying Mario doesn’t deserve any criticism.

But there’s no way you’re gonna convince me that Manny is equal of a head coach as Mario because they have similar records after two years. There’s also no way you’re gonna convince me that after two years, Manny’s team was just as talented as this team is right now.

Solid season and progress. A couple plays away and TVD injury away from 9 or more wins.

Tech was a win no one will ever change my mind. Mario is on track for a big year 3!
I agree also. I see it as a win as well.

Aw shucks it's not perfect but there is technically progress. [Insert few inconsequential but true facts] Come on guys.

The only real head scratcher is NC State

GT - C'mon
UNC - up at half
FSU - up in 3Q
Loser - Tied late in 4th

The other issue is turnovers. We were -9 against UNC, GT, and NC State.

Nc state has a really good defense but Emory shouldve started l. TVD was toooooo injured to do anything

But I think we forget how bad this team was. I consider this season a missed opportunity more than a failure.

Bro, UM is not a bad team. This is easily a 10 win team with some different coaching decisions. Georgia Tech- that's an obvious one. And then NC St, it was obvious to everyone that TVD was extremely banged up and it was affecting his play. And on top of that the Dawson/Cristobal offense was at peak stupidity. TVD is missing everything, the OL isn't blocking well, yet we are limiting damage. Score is 7-6 with 5 minutes left in the 2nd half. 3rd and 16 at the Miami 15. Mr. Tuff and Fisical decides it's time to go air raid, it leads to a sack and fumble. D holds and only gives up a FG. But just punt the ball and play defense. It is a braindead decision especially given how the offense was floundering.

And here are the possessions

1st half

FG
PUNT
FG
INT
FUMBLE
PUNT

2nd half

MISSED 45 yard FG
PUNT
PUNT
DOWNs
INT
INT

Take out TVD and give Williams some snaps. The team already showed it would respond to him because we saw it at Clemson. I think if Cristobal makes the switch at halftime, we win the NC St game. So now that's 9-3, and a bowl game gets us 10. So let's not get "poorly coached team" and "bad team" mixed up.

Bowl game win will be huge .. End the season on a high note and open up the season to smack UF in the mouth.
The bowl game is ENORMOUS!!! This is why I'm hoping for a crappy, overrated 6-6 team in the bowl game. We need a win far more than we need to risk not winning the bowl. Some have said TN is a possibility and I sure hope not. We need a bowl win in the worst way!

can someone explain our bowl options/probabilities? trying to plan my pre and post chrismas travel.

thank you in advance.
