- We played 15 or more games
- We’re looking for a 3rd DC in 3 years bc the defense somehow got worse

For the record, I don’t see any other Canes QB in my lifetime being as good as Cam. He had that magic quality as a player and person.

But that doesn’t mean the team won’t have a better season.

Absolutely heard of him and have heard all the confidence. Again though, you’re replacing our record setting receiver without issue with a freshman who’s never played a snap of college football, but you can’t replace a TE and average receiver. Again, the logic seems quite flawed.

I’m a big fan of the kids potential but I’m not expecting much of anything from him this year

If we get a lot that would be a huge bonus from a kid that’s supposed to be at his homecoming game in a few months

Agree here, think this will be slot by committee. Kid is still growing, taking hits from 20 year olds week in and week out might be a factor at some point.

Right it’s no disrespect to the kids game. If he stayed in the 2026 class he’d be a top recruit

I'd love to be wrong and the kid has a beastly season, but I'm not counting on it.

On yesterday’s show @Peter Ariz dropped a bomb by saying he feels Carson Beck will have a better season than Cam Ward did

I'm a big Carson Beck fan and think he has a chance to do well here and be drafted.

But not many QB have had a season like Ward…albeit the schedule of defenses left a little to be desired.

Will Beck be good? yes

Will be be better than Cam? no. Successful, but not better

Comparing Beck to Cam is an insane take. Beck can be very good even excellent but Cam was all time. Old school cane as well
