Beat ND and we jump to 4 or 5. Beat Pitt and UVA and we’re in top 4, them one of us or Clemson is going to the playoffs. But we can’t lose two and make it.

We would need a ton of help to get in with one loss. The fact that Oklahoma jumped us is mind boggling.
 
It’s a non issue. After we beat ND, we will hop wiscy - they play complete zeroes te rest of the way
 
I bet we are 6th in the playoff poll. If they compare our resume with Wisky, it’s a no brainer.

The only scenario where we'd get in with a loss is a very tight loss to Notre Dame, blowout Clemson and have only 1 undefeated team in the polls (preferably Georgia) and you'd probably need the Big10 to eat themselves out of the playoff.

You'd have ND, UGA, Oklahoma/TCU and Miami with that one I'd guess.
 
Still the lowest ranked Power 5 unbeaten. Still 3 one loss team ahead of us. Gotta thank these idiots for the motivation.

Next weekend we are in top 4


or out of top ten guaranteed one of those two outcomes

I don't understsnd how OU or Clemson are ahead of us... Both have losses + Clemson lost to a Syrcuse team with a losing record, a team that we beat!

As long as we keep winning, none of this will matter. I don't even wanna think about losing to ND, but if we were to lose to them in a close game, and then win out (including ACCCG), we should still be in the CFP. GO CANES!!!

I usually laugh off the media bias talk as fans being fans, but these polls are pretty bad. I can't fathom anyone coming up with a valid case for Wisc being ahead of us. There's zero justification for that. And it's tough to make a case for OU being ahead of us as well. They lost at home to Iowa State.

The thing is, it very well might matter (not this poll). Every year there is a resume battle between a bunch of one loss teams for a couple spots in the playoffs. We could be one of those teams. We could have a valid case. This negative perception by the media can have an effect on people's thoughts on our team. I'd like to think that the committee can tune that stuff out and just look at the facts, but who knows.
