75 yards in the 2nd half

What if the halves were switched? Look, 75 yards in any half is beyond unacceptable. But perception is funny.

What if we had 75 yards in the first half, we were down 13-9 at the half (that was the score in the 2nd half), and then Mensah completed 25 straight passes or whatever it was and we put up 300 yards in the 2nd half?

We’d all be saying wtf was that first half…but WOW we are so good! But since we put up 300 yards in the first half and **** the bed in the 2nd half, we suck.

Football games are 60 minutes long. Every yard and point counts, no matter when they happen. That first 35 minutes was as elite as it gets.

But holy **** guys, there’s no reason for that 2nd half. We gotta get healthy and we gotta use this as total rocket fuel. We totally **** down our leg and won a weeknight road conference game by 13.

We win by two scores and I'm ****ed and embarrassed by this second half, offensively, coaching, what the **** was that FG attempt to give Wake a short field, Mensah's energy and leadership was lackluster coming off the field after multiple 3&outs. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the team.

Dawson just said F all those plays he introduced game one.

OL can’t run block and falls apart by the 4th qt when pass blocking.

Dawson basically can’t call plays outside of Toney making plays it felt like.

Mario just wanted to get out the **** outta there in the 4th.. with all the injuries and the way we started to look.. not sure I blame him.

Interesting perspective but cant play the "what if" game. What if WF doesnt drop any passes? We might've lost

The run game was starting to look pretty solid, Marty gets hurt and the run game disappears again. Did all the injuries shake the team and they checked out after 31-7 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd??

What if we could get their QB on the ground? It’s college football. These teams are far from perfect.

Just saying though, it’s crazy to think about when you really do. I promise you, if the halves are exactly flipped, this place is WAY different right now. But is anything actually different? No. It’s just perception of the game with how it played out. Funny to think about.

If Mensah was that hurt, he shouldn’t have been playing
So, are Mario and Dawn more comfortable playing an injured/limited Mensah than playing Nickel? It appears that way to me. That tells me a lot what our staff thinks of Nickel as being our next starting qb.

Something was obviously wrong with Mensah in the 2nd half. How many screens and 2 yard dump off's did we attempt? Basically, every single pass in the 2nd half, with the exception of that jump ball to Lofton (which looked horrible), was a screen or dump off.

Sure but they werent. Going from an elite O for 2.5 games and Mensah about to break an FBS record to that utter offensive collapse is truly truly staggering. Like 1% odds staggering. No one coulda have ever predicted that. Deeply exposed our weaknesses

Did it? Maybe. Or maybe we take a deep breath, realize we’re 3-0 with 3 games being decided by double digits, get healthy, and get better.

That was an incredibly pathetic half though, no doubt. That was the worst offensive half we’ve had under Dawson, I’d think. I’ll have to look.

The weakness is that Mensah, Toney, Fletcher and Brown all got hurt and we led by 2-3 scores the entire game and the coaches played it as safe as humanly possible.

If we get healthy, we are fine.
