Lmao I already know you’re a Btch bc only a btch would post like you. Call Coach Mario dumb to his face? Lol I bet you wouldn’t bc you’re weak dumb *** btch.

So save the fake tough meet up at the stadium bs until you do run up on him and say that. Then I’ll be more than happy to embarrass you in front of your boyfriend.
I'll gladly meet up, but to have a beer or 7. My fighting days are over.

Kick Cantwell outside, move McCoy inside and for Holy sakes, bench SJ...said it a month ago the dude wasn't bigger than 290lbs and not an inch over 6'0" and that size does not belong at Miami, at least starting anyway...that's a 4th qtr mop up duty type player.

Look at our schedule.

Noles stuck in the outhouse with the light bulb out. Clemson has unraveled. VA Tech is in Year 1 of yet another rebuild. On the whole, the ACC is as bad as it's ever been (which is saying something).

We literally can beat 75% of the teams in our garbage conference just by remembering to get the ball to Mali a half-dozen times each game.

Is it possible SJ is starting because he does a better job of doing exactly what Mirabal and Mario ask him to do (i.e. "adhering to the culture"), while guys bigger and more talented are still figuring out those expectations? We literally could take any one of FAMU's true freshman OL, plug him in SJ's place and still easily win the ACC

Being undersized and less talented at left guard won't be a significant issue until Nov. 7 in South Bend. Maybe somebody else earns that spot by then.

I'd like to see someone take SJ's spot before Nov 7th. Last thing I want is to see someone thrown into the fire in that environment.

Freaking A the amount of people on here who know more OL play than Mario and Mirabal despite not playing a single down or going to a single practice with this team is insane. I don't know how people feel so comfortable talking so much about **** they don't know anything about and at 2 people who clearly know what the **** they are doing. And, even if you were right, perhaps the coaches are trying **** in games that don't f-ing matter....you know, cause they've done this **** before. Its Stanford and FAMU.

I found it interesting that Cantwell got zero snaps at OT. Congdon got snaps at both.

Why not get Cantwell some Tackle snaps? Found it interesting is all.

And Joel only got 3 snaps, thought the hype around him meant he was further along.

Also, dont get the hate on SJ after this game. He played good. I understood afyer the stabford game, but after FAMU? Not getting that.

Did SJ have a bad game? I didn’t at all watch for OL/DL play today.

On offense, was trying to watch the WRs. In defense, Was trying to watch Bryce at field corner and what he might look like going forward.

On SJ, he didn't have a bad game. Pass pro he was good, run, he isn't moving anyone against their will. I think the off tackle calls reflect that. He can't move mass in the IOL. Visually, it is concerning when he's smaller than FAMU DL. My thinking on his playing time is evolving. I don't think it's entirely an undersized thought experiment by Mari-bal. I think the misses in '24, and defection of Kinzer is biting us hard. Outside the top 5 or 6, things look really rough on the OL. The portal isn't what it once was, you can see it in the data. Trench talent is being retained. There were top guys like Seaton but then a lot of what we already have. You need a recruiting foundation in the trenches, and we have a void in the middle of ours.

I think everyone respects Mario and MIrabal's OL coaching. The problem seems to just not having the right guys with the right experience. Samson is obviously a stud, and McCoy is decent. But after that, it doesn't look great. Cantwell and Congdon may eventually be good, but they're not there yet. Same for Ervin, Pickett, Woodrow.

Somewhat surprised they didn't try harder to keep Kinsler.

I guess they like his leverage at guard! Being short... that's all, I got!

I have been calling for Cantwell to get garbage time RT snaps first two games too. My best guess is that they really want to be able to start Cantwell at RG this year, so they don't want to split his attention.

I cant take anything from this game, Physiologically he looks like he snuck in the wrong jersey in person.. Im not tryna bust on the kid but maybe he just not ready for prime time.. If I take Mario at his word and he say it has to look a certain way, I dont know wat to think here.
Just know, I see exactly what you see. He's shockingly tiny.

However, let me ask that you watch him pulling. I see the vision when. LG is the help guard a lot on our line. Pull guy. I thought Rodriguez was a good left guard for this system, but everyone loved McCoy's size (and McCoy is an NFL player), but I thought Ryan was a better fit for what we do. Rodriguez is a trained center though, and he looks good to me. But can see why they'd like a smaller, more mobile LG. Hes likely very smart, too. Been playing reps since early for us and was vital on jumbo sets and deep rz drives when Mario was just grinding teams down inside the 10. He and Rodriguez were those extra OL often. I know Ryan is smart. SJ probably is too.

If you play CFB27 or 26...just think he's got that 99 acceleration and 90 Impact Block and good awareness. The blocking numbers are a little low, but the those traits just play. They do in real life, too.

These guys just need reps. They are all so good. Just give it time to cook. Our schedule is charmin soft. They'll be ready for Notre Dame and War Ready for the Playoffs. Sit back and enjoy.

Saw a video of some guy breaking down our OL play against Stanford. He pointed out several instances where SJ just flat out missed blocking a guy. Situations in which his size (or lack of) made no difference because he completely missed his assignment. Showed Buchanan doing it also to a lesser extent.

Also pointed out that Cantwell was playing way too upright. It was almost shocking when he isolated on Cantwell. You can't be an effective OL (especially a G) when you're getting stood up as easily as he was by the DL.

Hopefully Mario and Mirabal can fix these issues. At this point OL looks like the only possible weakness on this team (provided no more injuries at CB).

I think we should stop expecting multi year all conference some all American level starters to just be replaced in one year. We recruit and develop well but it takes more than a year to replace the best oline and edges in the country

Anyone without orange and green shades knew there would be a clear step back in the trenches. The goal is for us to develop them over the years to be good enough for a playoff run with an elite offense and hopefully the elite secondary when our starters get healthy

Cantwell isn’t close to being a starting tackle yet. Not even close. Also, SJ didn’t play a terrible game. He showed improvement from Stanford.

SJ versus FAMU? I’d hope he’d have a good game….
