Kick Cantwell outside, move McCoy inside and for Holy sakes, bench SJ...said it a month ago the dude wasn't bigger than 290lbs and not an inch over 6'0" and that size does not belong at Miami, at least starting anyway...that's a 4th qtr mop up duty type player.

Cantwell isn’t ready to be a starting tackle
 
Hopefully he can play guard. If he plays LT against anyone decent someone behind him going to get drilled.

Wilkerson got reps in this game and I can see him taking more snaps from Merriweather as the season goes on.

This was the most alarming of all the OL play. Looked (again) really slow and got minimal push against a bad team. He looked lost out there. He has a long way to go.

Ik he’s young, but Wilkerson can move. He’s an athlete
 
Dude was a waste bringing him in. Should've taken OL more serious in the portal(We did shoot our shot with Seaton). Center should've definitely been a target again.
 
Was saying on this board during fall camp that y’all might want to ease up on the cantwell and congdon hype because they are both still freshman. And meriweather been cheeks so not surprised
 
I post a thread in jest about the walk on ruining the shutout & you acted like I shot your dog. What makes you think this thread is acceptable? Kid has feelings.

Let me highlight something that is even scarier:

Through 2 games it’s clear to me why SJ is starting. We currently don’t have another guard that can challenge him.

Cantwell can’t play guard. Doesn’t have the bend/flexibility.

I can’t tell yet on Congdon. All camp they talked about his flexibility so if that’s true he is the only one that has a prayer of competing at guard to overtake an SJ. His valuable reps came at tackle last night though.

The only prayer we had/have of making this a championship level O line is if Cantwell took another step from spring and locked down the RT spot. Allowing McCoy to slide to RG. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. So our only hope now is Congdon grows up fast during the year and overtakes SJ

McCoy and Sampson have been good but we’ll learn more Friday night. It’s clear to me through 2 games we’re going to win through the air this year so I don’t see a world where we tinker with our tackles.

I say all of that to say: Congdon is our only hope of moving SJ to where he belongs (fullback, center, extra TE)

We have what we have. I have no issues continuing to rotate SJ with Buchanan. Next year center battle should be interesting with SJ and Woodrow

Ideally yes they should be rotating but the “best 5 mindset” is why both of them are on the field at the same time. It’s scary but like you said we have what we have.

Not quite sure what happened on Congdon going from glowing reviews all camp, even talks of starting at guard, to now not getting much burn at guard when we clearly need another guard to grow up fast this year. I don’t see a world where that is Cantwell.
