Did SJ have a bad game? I didn’t at all watch for OL/DL play today.

On offense, was trying to watch the WRs. In defense, Was trying to watch Bryce at field corner and what he might look like going forward.

I cant take anything from this game, Physiologically he looks like he snuck in the wrong jersey in person.. Im not tryna bust on the kid but maybe he just not ready for prime time.. If I take Mario at his word and he say it has to look a certain way, I dont know wat to think here.

Said this during the game. When you go from seeing Samson, McCoy, and Cooper at G to SJ who is 6 nothing 270 you are just like oh seriously….its one thing if you play like you belong but if he struggles against Wake then this board will become even more loud over him.

And rightfully so, if that’s the case. Honestly I think the coaching staff just threw the most experienced guys in the starting 5 to hold serve until Cantwell and Congdon get acclimated to the college game. They gave Congdon a ton of extra reps tonight for a reason. They know the ceiling of the OL is way higher if it clicks for those 2 guys. It could come to a point where they just say **** it and move Cantwell to RT and move McCoy back inside so they can run it up the middle a lot more efficiently.

Do I think Cantwell will be good, yes, but it doesn’t matter if he plays guard or tackle his feet and bend is not where it needs to be.

I would agree that he should be getting live reps. He might improve as the season goes.
 
Wilkerson was being discussed as an emerging guy, now he is nowhere to be found. This kid should be an emergency depth player only, looked out of place tonight. Wilkerson can’t be worse than this kid. He is much younger too, give him those reps IMO.
