Reason? Closest parallel I can think of to 2018 Canes is 2011 Texas A&M. They were #8 preseason yet went 7-6 even though they were favored in all but one game (Oklahoma).

These Canes likewise were preseason #8 and were underdog only once -- at Georgia Tech -- yet finished 7-6.

The Dolphins were so impressed with that 7-6 season they drafted the Aggie quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the 8th pick of the 2012 draft

Stop mentioning national championships. We don’t have the coaches or players to be better than a 7-6 team. 2019 will be a worse disaster. It will be evident that the bot will have to react. Our program has been garbage for 16 years. But posters continue to mention national championships. Be realistic. Our administration does not have the interest or intention of ever making us a great team. Richt will be gone and his replacement will not be a miracle worker. Thus same results. The hole dug this past 16 years is deep. Our brand is totally ruined. No top coach and no great high school players want any part of this disaster. The reality is painful.
