O$U gets preferential treatment because the coaches know URban has done this before.
Other than that I agree, with the way they were destroyed by OU I wouldn't even have them in the Top 10 right now.

I think he’s right, though. All that public money is going to go heavily to the Irish, based on what they did to USC and NC State. The disrespect will be good for us.

That said, let’s beat Tech first or it doesn’t matter.

WTF is that guy's problem? If I weren't a Cane I wouldn't believe in us either, but no need to be a **** about it.

I don't think VT has to beat us badly for that ND line to go through the roof and the voters to drop us 10 spots. Any loss will have everybody looking at the wins and saying they didn't mean much and Miami isn't very good.

That said, I don't get why people think there's some conspiracy against us. Yes everyone hates us, but they don't get together and hatch schemes to keep us down, and espn will put us on TV in whatever manner makes them the most money without regard to how they "feel" about us. Grow up people.

Coaches will put more weight on the fact Miami is undefeated. Writers won't. We'll be 7 at best in that poll.
 
Honestly though these polls have some weird fantasy with the BIG 10. They're not a dominant conference.... but hey put a top 10 ranking next to their teams and walla you have "elite conference showdowns" gtfoh.

Ohio state and Wisconsin being in the top 4 is a joke.

That was the SEC script for years

Half the conference starts in the Top 20, they all beat up on cupcakes first month and every game is #6 Ole Miss vs. #11 Tennessee and the losses didn't hurt them as bad because "they lost to a ranked team".

**** was insane.
