60 minutes - Saban about recruiting - every single play.

He also has 20 coaches on staff ....did they mention any of that?

yea but at the end of the day without him that organization falls apart. Its like us with AL and fsu with Jimbo. It matters who the top guy is but yea other good coaches help though.

Don't get it twisted...the guy can coach. But, he takes advantage of EVERY loophole and advantage his resource advantage allows.

I watched the show. Two things, they talk about process and how great it is and then they mention how they were down 14-0 against Texas AM and came back to win by focusing on the "process"...all I could think of was, well I guess the forgot about the defense because they gave up another 4 TDs. The other thing, Eddie Jackson should have been a Cane.

Im tired of this and I ran out of excuses who to blame.

Regarding the coaching, did anyone catch the coaches meeting they showed? How many **** coaches were in that room? They had the entire table full, and then the outside lined with coaches. At least 25 people in that room.

@#! $ Sabin, he's got 5 stars backing up 5stars.He is a good college that's it. If he won on both levels like JJ did I would crown him to.@#$# him , **** I can win too if give me a stacked deck!!!

He's a beast for the college football level where the governing organization allows him to play by a separate set of rules from others. I'd say easily 60 minutes worthy to pump the hype machine some more.

Did he watch film on his NFL draft picks?

Who cares?

I do. Because I don't buy the hype story that he gains his advantage from watching "every single play." Isn't that the title of the ****ing thread?

If he doesnt watch film then he goes by the star rankings which r a myth to some on here. If 5 star goes else where we say oh ed reed was a negative 4 star but if 5 star chooses UM hes the next ed reed.

I'm not saying he doesn't watch film. I really have no idea what he does with his evaluations. I just know these stories come off as fluff - in fact, more of a recruiting angle than reality. Plus, **** him.

Fact is, he's won national championships at two schools. He may win 4 in 5 years. He turned Bama from **** to elite in the span of 2 years. I despise the dude as much as anyone, but he's the best in the biz no matter how you spin it.

this ***** recruit 5 star players you aint fooling anybody, where was the last 3 star that he developed

Marcel Dareus off the top of my head

Edit: Vinnie Sunseri is a 3 star starting for them and Christian Jones killed VT.Chance Warmack was a 3 star recruit.

Certainly helps. I think Bama has more football staff than any other program.

It's not close. They are hiding coaches in non-coaching positions. Straight cheating.

Heck, weren't we doing that with Donna? Didn't you see that picture a few years ago of her standing on the sidelines wearing a headset?

I knew she used to be a jock, but I didn't know she had football knowledge. I don't know which side, offense or defense, that she was coaching. I really think she was taking on a little too much...I have a friend who is a university president, and I'm sure he wouldn't want to get involved in stuff like that.

Still, he didn't do that until he got to the SEC. The real trick would have been to do it at some also-ran, like Michigan State, or wherever it was he used to coach. I think it's probably far more challenging to develop great teams at a place like Oregon. I've never been there, but is that state a hotbed of talent? Bunch of surfers, vegetarians, nudists and potheads.....I can't believe they even play football out there. Of course, my third-favorite UM player of all time, Bill Cichoke, was from Oregon.
