They value LSU being in the SEC. We can beat Florida by 60 next week and they will keep us behind LSU until they lose a game.

I fully expect us to jump them in the AP poll though.

ND and UF losing didn't help us

doesn't really matter. I feel like us being top 5/6 is fair for now

if we beat UF/FSU/Louisville we should be #1/#2

You know they are going to keep us out of the top four unless we win the ACC Championship. They expect us to lose our last two games, so they can dump us down to 11 or 12. That's one reason the coaches screwed us.

I don't really believe that narrative, we typically get ranked appropriately when we have a sliver of hope.

I mean we're ranked 4th right now. sure we could argue to be 1-2 spots higher but the season will play out and it's not like there's 1 loss teams ahead of us

I actually disagree with this. They are 0-2, but they at least had the courage to schedule two **** good teams to start the season, and could have won either, or both. Was it 1999 we started with a bad record, but were ranked because we played all ranked teams, and played them VERY close? Sometimes it's how you look, and ND does look like a good team.

That being said, I don't understand why OSU, LSU, Georgia, and Penn State are so high. OSU beat a terrible Texas team, barely. Why the **** is Texas at #7? Georgia has looked pedestrian. LSU beat an over-rated Clemson. Penn State has beaten who?

Back to ND. I'd take them over Texas in a second. ****, Alabama would probably pummel them right now. There is so much wrong with this poll, I don't know where to start. Anyone that thinks we are the #6 team in the country, when we might just have the best OL AND DLs in the country, is just stupid and biased. We have the #2 ranked rush D in the country, and have played two teams that usually put up good rush totals. We stoned them both. It's not like we have the #2 rush D and have played pass happy teams.

Polls suck.
 
They’re used to Miami doing Miami things for 20+ years. Feels different this year. If the team is what I think it is, the Florida game should not be close.

For the last 20 years we have been overrated if anything

This us against the world thing is pure fantasy. The 80s when the racism angle was in full force yes

But now it’s just fan fiction

We didn’t make the playoffs last year because we couldn’t even make the ACCCG in a terrible conference

Disagree big time. They went on the road to play us in the opener with a qb starting his first game. We are arguably the best team in the country . Despite UM owning both sides of the LOS, they hung around and it came down to UM kicking a low percentage FG to win. They played another top 10 team in TAMU. They win that game if the refs dont miss the egregious hold on a TAMU TD. If you didn’t see it, the TAMU OL literally tackles the ND defensive lineman who had the QB dead to rights. That should have been a W for the Domers. I don’t say this about many 0-2 teams but they absolutely deserve to be ranked.
