Don't let anyone tell you you're getting ahead of yourself. He's 100% the right OC to bring #6 to MIA. Believe that
They caught up in yards after they were down 30 points. Whooptifreakindoo. When it MATTERED, we were moving the ball better than they were. Not so fast, UL actually had more total yards, (not net) rushing 226 to Miami's 219 and passing 328 to miami's 252. Total yards 496 to 449.
121 yard in penalties killed UL, as well as tackles for losses, I actually thought UL offense was a little more creative.
We don't have the Phil Knight, or Boone Picken that other programs have, but money isn't a big issue here. It's why we joined a conference. We weren't going to survive as an independent. We've made bad hires and have been slow to modernize our facilities. We used to be able to recruit by pointing to the logo on the side of the helmet and that was enough. It doesn't work that way any more. FSU is learning that right now too.
Not to many championship caliber defenses in college football Ohio State, Clemson and maybe one or 2 more but even LSU and Alabama give up a lot of points and big plays. This is college football today.Still got a ways to go in my opinion. Accomplish this against a good defense then i'll agree. Need to get O-line playing better against the run and the defense is not yet a Championship caliber defense. That performance yesterday left a lot to be desired.
In what world is money not a big issue?? You're right when you say that conference affiliation provides MIA with a steady source of revenue but the issue is it also incentivizes mediocrity for an institution that has always been reluctant to spend on it's athletic program. There is variance when it comes to spending, and everyone in the conference doesn't allocate resources on par with Clemson. Though on the surface it appears like conference affiliation is benefiting MIA, it can also be argued that it is severely hindering its ability to maintain a commitment to excellence when it comes to football. Also..we must keep in mind that the only reason why MIA even received an invitation to join the ACC in the 1st place was in large part because of what it accomplished as an independent school. Being independent forces the institution to maintain a "win at all costs" mentality especially when the institution lacks financial resources that other schools possess. It is almost impossible for MIA to adopt that sort of mentality ever again. Mainly due to its history, and also because the current CFB landscape won't allow that.
How has MIA hired poorly, when coaches like Randy Shannon were one of the lowest paid in P5 during his tenure @ MIA? Do you honestly think MIA could've hired a coach like Saban paying bottom dollar? That's like saying you're interested in purchasing Gucci at the dollar store or @ 5 below. Also..MIA was literally the last school in America to get an indoor practice facility despite its football program needed it more than anyone. Saying MIA has been slow to modernize it's facilities is a gross understatement to say the least.
Keep in mind this was possibly the worst defense we played all season.
Ul is terrible defensively.
Most of the ACC is.... And yet no other QB has thrown 6 TDs against them in one game In 2019. Just is what it is...
When he does this against schools like Alabama, Clemsom, or LSU, then he will be elite. Until then, he's just good.Williams wasn’t elite last season or the first part of this season. We all knew Enos was hired because he is a quarterback whisperer. He’s done what he needed to do to get this offense rolling. He trained and developed a talented quarterback into an elite one. Williams is elite. Thank you coach Enos.
I get and respect your point. I also have seen enough quarterbacks in my life to know he’s the best one we’ve had in almost 20 years. Healthy and a decent offensive line.... this kid is the goods. He’s young and has a lot to learn. If he’s the bottom from here going forward for this program, I’m one hundred percent in. He’s an Elite talent. What he does with it is up to him and this staff. When he does this against schools like Alabama, Clemsom, or LSU, then he will be elite. Until then, he's just good.

We are going to beat down anyone we play in a bowl.Aren't you tired of being wrong? The Duke game was a shoot out in 12' (last time we scored 52). We had a few that year starting with the opener at BC. That offense was actually good from the first game to the last. It didn't take 3/4 of a season and two of the worst defensive IN THE COUNTRY to get it right. Hang 70 on FIU, hang 53 on the road against Duke and score 35 plus against our bowl opponent. Side note, bowl opponents D has to be in the top 40 or it won't matter just like the WVU bowl game in 16'.
and we put up 52 points you idiot. good lord.Louisville is ranked #112 in defense. 112. One hundred and twelve.
