One of the nation's best edge rushers in the 2028 recruiting class has set several visits to top power-five programs.
Asher Ghioto, the No. 1-ranked edge rusher in the 2028 247Sports Recruiting Class Rankings, is set to take another visit to Miami this fall against the Florida State Seminoles. This will mark his sixth time visiting Coral Gables.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound edge rusher will be busy during the fall visiting the following schools: Notre Dame (September 6), Texas (September 12), Georgia (September 26), Texas A&M (October 2), Miami (October 17), South Carolina (October 24), and Florida (November 7).
All four major recruiting services have Ghioto rated as a five-star prospect. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he currently ranks as No. 3 nationally, No. 1 among edge rushers, and No. 3 in the state of Florida.
Ghioto attends The Bolles High School in Jacksonville, Florida, where this past season he led the Bulldogs to an overall record of 13-2. He recorded a total of 84 tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception.
