I imagine it's Ellison's wife you're referring to? But who's the drunken pizza fanatic? lol

This is Alphonse Bundy erasure.Yeah. It's a VERY slim argument in my eyes. Barry is #1 only one I think could've potentially made that interesting in different circumstances was Bo. That would've required Bo sticking to football and ever having been healthy. Reality being what it is well never know. ****erson, Brown,Faulk,Campbell,Walker,Dorsett etc they were all MONSTERS. But BARRY, he was that dude.
I once had a talk with the late great Reggie White before he passed where we talked about a few different running backs and wrs. Should've seen how his eyes lit up when he talked about Barry. To think some people actually think emmit was the best of his time (or even in the conversation shows how lil people understand what they watch.Sanders was one of a kind. His elusiveness and ability to make defenders (GREAT defenders) look stupid while missing hasn’t been replicated since. The only name I think that’s anywhere close style-wise is Gayle Sayers.
Scored 4 touchdowns in a single game once. Polk High legend. This is Alphonse Bundy erasure.

Be fair to yourself; you were NOT the only one wide-eyed about BB's tape. The only time I had that thought was watching Bryce Brown’s HS tape. Won’t make that mistake again. Blasphemy.
He's one of those monsters obviously. BUT he ain't Barry.
Really? Man I’ve been doin this. I do it more than 3 times on a thread most times. No other Mod has said anything bc it doesn’t bother them, so why now? It’s always the get off my lawn type that wants to spoil the fun. Yes sir Boss!@Confidence1000 you have to be more selective with Pause. Some people like it and some people hate it. But 3 times in on one topic is going to result in people wanting the mods to do something about it.
Please be more choosy in its use.
Reggie White was incredible also.I once had a talk with the late great Reggie White before he passed where we talked about a few different running backs and wrs. Noel Divine is the only back I've seen since Barry with the ability to use his body and balance to get defenders off balance and avoid any direct shots on him anywhere close to Barry. The main difference is Barry was considerably stronger and bigger, which makes it so much more impressive. If anyone was gonna even attempt that it would've been frank, troy or noel. But other than noel tape wasn't the same as what it is now obviously.
As a lifelong Bucs fan I have thought for many years about the what-if of Barry joining the Bucs instead of retiring...There is no other possible puzzle piece you could have added to those tony dungy era bucs that would have raised their ceiling as high or as instantly as Barry would have.I I think they easily win the Super Bowl right off the bat.Dan Marino was the best QB never to win a Super Bowl, but at least he played in one. Barry Sanders got robbed being stuck on the Lions.
He ALMOST got his rights traded to the dolphins twice... Would've loved to see Dan pre his knees falling off with a running back like Barry. They refused to surround him with an actual squad & that's why they'll always be cursed to damnation until the end of time.As a lifelong Bucs fan I have thought for many years about the what-if of Barry joining the Bucs instead of retiring...There is no other possible puzzle piece you could have added to those tony dungy era bucs that would have raised their ceiling as high or as instantly as Barry would have.I I think they easily win the Super Bowl right off the bat.
Other than Barry only other real talent on offense they had was Herman & Brett. But when scott mitchell is the best option you got at QB that's just no bueno. Nothing too special on defense either besides spielman if I remember right. So the rumors were true? What a shame. I always wanted to see him with Marino.
When you really think about it, Barry and Detroit were a terrible match. They went 78-82 in the 10 years they had him. It's like he was good enough to get them to 8-8 even though they didn't have an 8-8 roster. Then they always ended up picking in the middle of the draft. ****ting the bed when they actually had an early pick didn't help though.
Yup, nobody blocking except Uncle Lomas and Kevin Glover either. Barry + Great Wall of Dallas=20,000 career rushing yards, only man over 2K in 2+ seasons...Other than Barry only other real talent on offense they had was Herman & Brett. Re-read my post. I'm saying I think he would've done it more than once with a Dallas-level O-line. ****, I think he goes over 2k twice behind a middle of the pack OL...Barry only had one 2k season. What's remarkable about Barry was that he had 3500 yards rushing his last two seasons of his career.
That Dallas OL was easily the best run-blocking OL I've even seen. Pass-blocking they were merely above average. But run-blocking, they just blew the DL off the ball.Yup, nobody blocking except Uncle Lomas and Kevin Glover either.
