I have no idea what I meant to get at in the first place honestly and that’s my bad.
This is such a respectable response. The board would be so much better if people could just admit when they were wrong like you just did. Good job, we keep it moving.

The thing with mario is he goes hard after about 15 five stars. So it feels like a lot of misses. But if we walk away with 3 or 4, we are in the elite category of recruiting right there.

The world* would be better.

There are only so many 5-stars to go around, so cost is high. It’s not possible to hoard them all as lots of schools have money. You have to be in it for a lot of them to land a few, which means you’re going to miss out on way more than you land. Being a finalist for that many is a good thing.

Yeah but still have the question- why would a recruit choose to go somewhere other than Miami? If you go to a B1G school, there is a 30% chance of being the victim in some of trainer or coach *** scandal. I don’t like those odds.

Pick a SEC school? I guess that makes sense if you are a recruit who enjoys hearing racial slurs.

I can get wanting to go to a place where you can win a national championship. Well, we just played in the national championship game and I believe have the easiest path to the playoffs of all the teams that made in last year.

Money? Obviously the biggest factor. So are we getting beaten by a lot when it comes to a NIL? I doubt it.

I am kidding of course. I get that every recruit has his own preferences and sometimes, for whatever reason, we aren’t at the top of their list. But we really should be the top choice for more 5 stars and then lose them occasionally rather than just trying to catch their attention like the vast majority of programs. The fiasco with Gold Dust, I mean Mark Matthews, should be the type of scenario where we lose recruits. They pick another school because they feel they aren’t a good culture fit for Miami. And a couple years later we inevitably see they made the right decision for both parties. Meanwhile we have a dozen other 5 stars lined up.

Yea but we've been linked to like more than half the 5 stars out there at least with interest or a visit. That's wild. The people that expect us to land 10 five stars are just silly and unrealistic. It's not EA 2007 dynasty on varsity mode. There aren't that many 5 stars to go around and even A&M only has 2 more than us and we could catch them.

Like Justin Scott and Hayden Lowe??
I think he means like out of nowhere, to me those guys mentioned were more like stealth shadow flips. When its widely reported that we are trying to flip a 5 star DL it most likely doesn't happen. I dont expect DJ or JB but I hope we get one of the two, JB looks like the more physical of the two 5 star guys.

Why would they drag him, all he’s saying is the truth. We have landed more five star trench players than any program in the country since Mario’s arrived. Those are facts
Just picking a fight with the mope patrol.

In chapter 4, section 6, sub-section 22 of the How to Mope for Dummies: The Editor's Edition, it states, "It is unbecoming of a seasoned mope to accept, in part or whole, facts that directly or indirectly refute, invalidate, or otherwise not agree with one's mopery."

It goes on to say, " Pursuant to the bylaws and oaths taken by a fully accredited mope, when faced with overwhelming and indisputable facts (as coorborated by no less than 4 other mopes who have achieved the level of full cuckhold), use Ad Hominem attacks on the author or anyone supporting the facts to distract from the facts at hand. After sufficiently dragging the slurper(s) (their words not mine), circle back to the initial mopery and continue on as if no facts were ever presented."

I had a long flight and my curiosity got the best of me 🤷🏾

I wanna go back to the days of calling it Broball and Mariobro and Caveman. Beating the ****, physically, out of SEC team after SEC team and Ohio State was boring as ****. Yall can have that ****. Dumb *** Maribro ****. Couldn’t care less about a ton of useless *** 5-star offensive and defensive linemen.
