5* CB reclassifying because of doubt about HS season.

So now kids can reclassify without taking all their HS classes. There is no way with Covid and the online thing that he was able to put in the work for an entire senior year already.

As much as I support kids getting the help they need in order to pursue athletic futures in any sport, I don’t support HS or college becoming a farce and just moving kids along through it “just because”. I don’t think football is a good enough reason to allow kids to skip grades or graduate early.

ALOT of kids start on track of getting classes done early so they can enroll early (mid year during their senior year after christmas break). Some of these kids are taking college courses while in high school just waiting to get the **** out. Some are just counting the days, only attending school for half the day and hang around for practice . Some who arent into sports actually go to work, they have work programs and all type of stuff. Senior year schedule can be packed with electives. Tons of kids are done with school by time senior year rolls around, and I am not een talking about kids who have eyes on enrolling early

He's been preparing for this for awhile. Seems like a smart kid. Probably didn't need to do much more than fulfill some state requirements which he did online.

That’s the problem with high school then these days. It shouldn’t be packed full of electives. It should be required courses all throughout preparing those kids for college and life after school. But we don’t and we suck bc of it....just look at the scores. They’ll prove it.

Electives are for college, not high school. My nephew took electives his high school career that were an absolute joke, even some online courses at local community colleges. Passed them all. Then goes to actual college and bombs bc he wasn’t actually prepared. I see it far too often.

If a kid wants to graduate early, and he or she is committed to it, it's possible to be done in two or three years.

There are soo many different routes, programs and ways to do it. I have seen kids graduate high school with their associates degree at same time..
