5-16

We'd be asking the same questions if this was a non Covid year with the regular schedule , fattening up on bad opponents. Might be even more overhyped since we're probably 6-0 right now with the 3rd easiest schedule in CFB. Most of us know it's smoke and mirrors like 2017, but I'm ok with that since the recruiting class is more important than anything. We can be a paper tiger winning 10, but when next years class gets here, I think we will see legit quality talent. We are two classes away. Even if we are the worst 10 win team in the country, we need it to keep this class and then pull one more like it.

We lost to Clemson after the bye, beat Pitt the week after that. I think Manny is legit 0-4 coming off bye's.

But we will not play the young guys though.
He will keep making excuses why we play bad players and we will not truly have any competition because guys will know they will have to wait to play no matter what.

So What’s your point? We beat the team you all said we should right?

Aren’t we an average team?
I think it's according to some posters, we're not allowed to be discontent with how the team has performed despite being 5-1.

I don't think that's necessarily true. Cheney and Knighton are getting a lot of burn. Last year Nelson started, when he should have got a RS. Like many coaches, Diaz seems prefer to play less physically gifted players who understand the system inside and out (usually due to experience) over more physically gifted players who are (probably) going to make more mental mistakes.

I think people are fixated on McCloud being on the field, which I can't disagree with. He shouldn't be out there. But beyond that, which young players with more talent are on the bench that you think should be starting over an older player? The WRs? They were unavailable due to Covid protocols.
