4th & inches and we kick a field goal

Who gives a rats ***

Exactly... like we could block that front in a short yardage situation like that...

a lot of people give a rats ***

look around on other teams message boards, they're calling it weak and sad
A td wasn’t saving us from an embarrassing loss . 38-7 or 38-3 it doesn’t matter. They STILL beat the breaks off of us either way

doesn't change the fact that it was a soft *** move to avoid a shut out

that's richt's ego man

I pointed out his cowardice in the Syracuse game. It was 4th and goal from the 1, early in the game, and he chooses to kick a FG.

Dudes a bible thumping whimp man. He has little to no personality and it manifests itself a lot over the season.

I can't believe people celebrated this dudes hiring.

YOU can GFY

I agree. I am so sick of his bible-thumping Reverend Goodguy bullsheet. I was totally ****ed when we hired him. I knew that we were getting a timid individual.

I celebrated because that meant we weren't getting Greg Schiano.

The level of ignorance of this post is nothing short of staggering

I try not to judge posters directly after a loss, cause I know I was fuming too, but **** *** this is a bad look.

Why? It's exactly why he was canned at UGA. They grew tired of his BS. And so will UM fans. This dude didn't magically change upon his arrival here.

Truth. That field goal was an absolute statement of mediocrity. People simply need to look at the historic act that took place last Friday. The Miami Hurricanes, while ranked number 2 in the nation, lost to a team that had four wins. It is very comical that people simply think that bringing in more Talent will fix this issue. Our issues are systemic. Starting with Mark richt. Clemson simply plays a better brand of football than Miami. That systemic. UGA is on their way to the playoffs simply because they fix their systemic issues. The great coaches constantly look for ways to improve their program starting with their staff. Mark richt is being selfish by calling plays. It is obvious that we are inferior to inferior teams when it comes to offense.

You are absolutely wrong on this statement.
I live here in the Atlanta area and the following was the worst kept secret here in Georgia
South Carolina (after Spurrior quit) started to make overtures for Kirby Smart, UGA had been considering him since he was a former player, but the timing was not quite right. The major boosters at UGA started to feel if they did not get Smart at this time they actually loose him forever. There was also issues with the UGA administration meddling in the Athletic Department. Boosters who felt Bama and UG had passed them by, made it a point and used their influence to make the coaching change.
Several posters on here who also live in Georgia can back this up (as they have before)

So a guy who had never been a head coach in college was viewed as a better option than the guy who averaged 9-10 victories a year as their coach?

That speaks volumes about their opinion of MR.

Who cares?

It's worked out for both teams. Smart has taken Richt's recruits and taken them to the Playoffs.

Richt has salvaged Golden's recruits and taken us to our first ACC Championship game.

Yes I think the fact that Smart has taken Richt's recruits and made the playoffs does speak volumes

I am sure the Richt Nut Swingers will defend it.

That was a cowardly move.

That was a very horrible decision by CMR.. He really didn't trust his team and I really love the fact that CMR is here and he has did a great job since coming to Miami BUT I really didn't agree with that decision and never will..

The Clemson game was bad but it makes that Pitt loss even worse.

Laying an egg like that just doesnt sit right with me.

Get out of here with that nonsense. Kirby Smart is a better coach than Mark Richt. UGA was soft as baby doodoo when Richt was their head coach. Kirby has made them tough. Mark richt has underachieved. Losing to Pitt is Unforgivable.

Never go full ******, obviously too late...

He didn't want his team to live with being shutout

Do you need "guts" down by 38 with no time remaining to go for 7? No

But do you let your team practice all week in the biggest game of the year and get shut out? I don't know I think was more of like a hey we accomplished at least one thing .

We have a game left, people don't seem to remember that

If your team can't line up and get a yd against a 3rd team D, then don't bother to worry about the game that is left.

Total pusssy move by Richt... I am concerned with his soft a$$ mentality

Is there some reason we're all missing as to why he SHOULD have trusted the offense to get that yard?

No, there is not.

Getting shut out is worse than kicking a garbage time field goal every time.

For starters... I think you really should not bring up the Bible, or someone's religious beliefs to demean somebody, not here on this forum. Lets keep it to rational sports commentary.

Maybe you don't get it .... it was their 3rd team Defense on the field .... and you think he believes our first team O can't get 1 yard against them. If so, we deserved to be shut out!!!
