Miami has suffered some bad news on the recruiting trail. Four-star interior offensive lineman Jatori Williams has decommitted from the University of Miami.

Williams released a statement on Twitter following his departure with the Hurricanes:

First, I want to thank the University of Miami coaching staff for the time, effort, and care they have shown me and my family throughout my recruitment. They have done an outstanding job recruiting me and building relationships with us, and I am truly grateful for their belief in me. After careful consideration, I have decided to decommit from the University of Miami and reopen my recruitment. This is a personal decision and does not reflect any disappointment with Miami or its coaching staff. They have been great to me and my family every step of the way. They are elite. As we approach signing day in December, I want to give myself the opportunity to fully evaluate my options and make the best decision for my future. Where I will be for the next 3-4 years is a very important decision for my family and I, It's one that I do not take lightly. I still have a lot of love and respect for Miami, and I am keeping that door open with them as I move forward in this process. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this process. I appreciate your understanding.

This is now Miami's third departed prospect in the 2027 recruiting class and this is also Williams' second school he has decommitted from this year (Alabama).

Despite decommitting from the Crimson Tide, he still remains in contact with the Tide's coaching staff and has left the door open to return. On3's Hayes Fawcett released a Twitter post stating that four schools are standing out the most to him: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida State.

Williams was viewed as a top-100 prospect according to the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings. The site ranks him as the nation's No. 5 interior offensive linemen and the No. 3 player out of Alabama.

The Hurricanes 2027 recruiting class still remains at the top, ranking as the No. 4 class in the country, sitting just behind Texas A&M (1), Oregon (2), and Notre Dame (3).

Any OL who doesn’t want to play for this team under these coaches are just not smart and if Auburn is the leader - lol. Put that ***** Golesh on the schedule and kick his *** like we did the last few years.

Smh

Any OL that would willingly shun what Mario/Mirabal have cooking to put their football career in the hands of that fat little Russian ginger at Auburn has some major issues upstairs

Sometimes it’s as simple as a Mamas boy afraid leave home

Wouldn’t mind holding on to this one if possible. Doesn’t look good but the last thing I worry about these days with this program is recruiting and the accumulation of talent.

Well, he is a 2028 recruit so there's no rush.

This is most likely over. He wants small town. People around him came down with him for visit. Miami isn’t for everyone. It’s a shame bc he’s a stud.

Gaby says distance became a big factor

But Miami isn’t out of it

Fck that I hope we move on . This didn’t Miami 3 years ago where we needed them

I am not too certain that's the case. We are about half way through the season and you would have a hard time telling me either G spot is "locked up" for next season.

We prob have better ones waiting that’s why dumb *** Dawson said we’re going to make some changes if this don’t get fixed . Staff showing favorites to upper classman is the real issue with our ol

**** fool is he. To decommit from Miami at this time. Makes me think maybe Miami might of reconsidered their offer. Maybe we have someone bigger in mind. One things for sure. Miami hasn’t done anything but win. So deuces amigo.

Who’s he talking about

Who’s he talking about

DJ Jacobs and Mark Matthews

Nico Ramos ain't chopped liver imo

He looks like an FSU recruit anyway!

I bet Miami knew any takers ? My guess he been trash this year . Takers ? We need immediate impact kids not more projects . He got worked against Thompson all game in the rumor on the street lol

Well all of the highlights I saw he was getting Busy! BIG PAUSE! Shiid! All reporters say the staff wanted the kid on this team badly

Something tells me we’ll be OK.
