This kid is deep in the backyard of the $EC. Will be a tough pull. Miami needs guards and more OL in general. Let’s see how the staff closes this class and the portal.

We did NOT drop him
It’s easy to just dog the kid, say it makes no sense but these things have so many layers. Sucks to lose him but one thing we shouldn’t be worried about is Mario and recruiting. Also, recruiting is not for the weak

**** the SEC territory bull****. Mario pulls guys from wherever the **** he wants. This isn't Manny Diaz and Al Golden anymore where you sing campfire songs and take weird *** pictures before the season begins.

So if I’m reading between the lines,

1. He took a secret visit.
2. Miami says if you do that, then you need to decommit.
3. We only take commitments from those that are willing to shut it down.
4. We are still interested and want to win him back.

I see some posts questioning the decommit because he don’t understand he can have immediate PT.

But I would say it’s because it’s obvious a position of need that you might think to reevaluate your worth, especially if some SEC teams are willing to bump up the number.

Should be interesting. I trust Mario to figure this out. They rolled the dice this year but next year we not taking any chances.

You think these recruits agents are telling them that? Lol. Im not saying thats the reason he decommitted. But lets not act like the majority of these recruits are up on the latest updates in the political theater either. They can be easily persuaded.
nah of course not. most likely, his agent cant even name both chambers of congress.

Never felt like a real cane to me . Profile wasnt right
Can you elaborate please. Trying to see what I missed!!!!!
I live in Columbus, Ga 10 min from his High School... I've seen a Huge Young man that plays nasty, Looks like he belongs in Coral Gables

Just so you know I was born and raised in Hallandale Bch, Fl. #954 #Broward

Gaby says distance became a big factor

But Miami isn’t out of it
Impossible, my well-placed sources on the message board say it is one of 7 reasons:

1. He sucks
2. Another school is overpaying
3. He needs immediate playing time
4. He's getting bad advice
5. Miami is actually dropping him, he isn't decommitting
6. He was never a real Cane
7. He sucks

Sure, distance from home sounds logical, but I trust the people really in the know -- Miami message board patrons.

isnt he from alabama? thats what? a 1.5 hour flight
Probably a ton of local pressure if I had to guess. I get what you’re saying, but Auburn is a stones throw from his hometown. We don’t know the family dynamics, but I’m not shocked that distance became a factor with an SEC school 20 minutes away. Regardless how bad they are.
