Exactly. I think everyone here would have liked to have gotten him. But given the NIL is not unlimited, I would rather see our efforts directed towards: 1. DTs 2. Safeties 3. WRs (only an impact one as I like the three we have committed.

We really need to add a couple DTs. Top guys would be nice, but we also shouldn't be too picky as our numbers there are just not where they should be.

Yeah, I don’t get the issue with saying and thinking this. It’s an observation of impact vs priorities. It’s very different than posting he isn’t that good or he doesn’t want to compete but this is CIS so I guess I’m supposed to act like we should get errrybody lol

But thats cope by CIS and a false narrative by goofies, to give themselves excuses as to why a recruit went somewhere else. Either its a conference excuse or we have to make the playoffs excuse or they wanted to play with Cam excuse (but chose to play with Howard who's *** lol), or we haven't done anything in 25 years excuse......yet USC hasn't done anything in 24 years. Crazy cope

Thats the CIS go to "we have to make the playoffs to get guys like this" we always have to prove it on the field but no one else does

Yet goes to USC who have a top 5 pick in the NFL draft yearly cause of their record lol

I just think he probably went where he wanted to go. He’s from Colorado and chose USC. He probably got a good bag offer from each finalist and that’s who he chose. I don’t see a bigger issue in this. I see it as another recruiting battle where we lost a west coast kid to a west coast team. I was more bothered losing Pickett and other legacies and local kids than losing a player from out west to USC

I’m not following recruiting this cycle though I jumped in here. It’s the same **** each year and NIL plays a massive role so there’s no reason for me to go on the front of the roller coaster ride. Like I don’t even know who Pepe is and I wouldn’t even know where we were ranked had someone not mentioned it in a dm to me. Lol I’m numb to all this stuff now just like I lost interest in the NFL. There’s other things that’s taken over

Yea that's acceptable for this recruit but it also clashes with that line, I don't be remembering a lot of the (win and they come battles) off the head but this happens a lot even in our favor. So that take always kills my soul cause since following recruiting I see high profile kids go anywhere even if it doesn't make sense. And losing the locals especially the superior guys are retarded, anyone saying top tier elite recruiter can miss me with that. Once you lost JJ you lost that title IMO. UGA Bama etc. aint losing something like that, that grew up in the area. Like a once in a generational player, if we were stacked like those squads then it wouldn't bother me as much. One guy to change the entire narrative about UM cant get a WR into the first round BS.

I just internally gave up, the one thing I am looking forward to this year is Abdul Carter and the giants DL while losing 11 games. But I enjoy an elite defensive front, I can watch that all day no matter what team it is. Even if I hate the team and want them to lose I enjoy those type of fronts.

We got that one kid from California. We whiffed on the Keys kid and the other top targets this cycle. Cali says we need Safety more and that’s fine. Regardless, I’d rather have another top WR recruit than another top OL recruit.
