4-star DT commit Collins goes in-depth on pledge at UA Miami

Question on Collins. How good of a player is he currently and what kind of upside does he have. I mean is he dominating at the high school level. If he stays the course and ends up signing with us will he become a productive player for us. Do you guys see that in his future.

He'll have a great future at UCF.

Prototypical NFL size & elite athleticism but he's kinda soft (that Varela/Braddock/Southwest influence) and he's pretty raw

He has , skill set of Large hands. Can bend, but at the same time tight in certain areas. Quick first step allows him to shoot in the backfield. Shows disruptive qualities as a gap seeker, but is just ordinary when forced to sit and take on blocks. Equipped with a few pass rushing moves including a nice swim. Above average motor. Ran an impressive 4.8 in the 40-yard dash on the lasers as a sophomore. Saw his production however dip as a junior after transferring into Miami Palmetto to play in one of the Sunshine State’s top defenses. Will need to get much stronger and more physical...but like all recruits ,...Some more than others growth and development

His mom wants him here, he would have been a Gator months ago if it was up to him. Stroud, Banda & Cooney need to drop him if he gonna keep playing these meth head games
Florida isn’t going to take him and probably wouldn’t have during the summer either.

We are playing pit that has 3 sofla 3 stars on the dline.
The same Pitt that already has 15 sacks and a bunch of tfl’s. None of those 3 has the athleticism or ranking that Collins has. I’m 100% confident that Charlie Partridge will welcome him with open arms and push anyone else out That they committed for a dude like Collins.

Mason smith isn’t coming here. It’s bag season and the Usual suspects are pushing for a commit. And we are in no position to tell this kid to hurry TF up.

So let’s stop fapping over some dude that didn’t all of the sudden make up his mind to come here over a loss to Clemson and keep the seat warm and comfy for Collins.

He has all the tangibles but work ethic is pretty bad. I’ve never been crazy about him, i like our other dt commits much more.

UF or LSU never gave him a real offer. He went from Plan C to like Plan H for them.

Collins will be the first guy dropped to make room.

Good prospect, he’s the drop guy if someone elite/ another top DT wants in
