4 Star CB Lavert Hill

they are all still traumatized by Golden recruiting. actually i am too.lol

I doubt Corn committed after a last minute visit. Lavert is visiting the week before signing day, you know how hard it's going be to pitch someone with no prior interest with one week to go before he signs. Plus he's from Detroit and is interested in Michigan, I don't see why he wouldn't end up there.
Corn committed without even visiting, iirc. His recruitment was odd because he wasn't sure about which sport he would play. He had been a UM fan for whatever reason and committed on signing day when we told him he had a scholarship.

I thought it was after signing day, which surprised us even more

It was. Both him and Derrick Griffin inked after signing day. I think we offered both of them the opportunity to try and play both sports.

Yeah that sounds right. He literally fell into our lap.

It was after signing day. Week & change. No visit etc. His other offers fell through & he came to us.

His brother plays for Michigan and he likes the Don Brown hire according to a rivals interview. Not coming here

Lol at the "I like our chances" because there's gonna be snow or its gonna be cold somewhere else. He's not coming here.

Good news:

Miami has convinced top 100 cornerback Lavert Hill to take an official visit.

Hill (5-11, 175) plans to visit UM the final weekend before National Signing Day on January 29th.

Cornerback is one of the key positions that new head coach Mark Richt has identified as an area that UM needs to upgrade and build depth moving forward. Hill is rated as the No. 67 overall player in the country and the No. 6 cornerback in the country by 247Sports.com.

Miami will have its work cut out for them if they are going to land Hill. A native of Detroit, Michigian, Hill is believed to be leaning heavily toward the University of Michigan at this time. Michigan State is also recruiting Hill heavily.

Hill has already taken official visits to Tennessee and Michigan. He plans to visit Southern California on January 15th, Michigan State on January 22nd, and Miami on January 29th.

Hill will play in the Army All-American Game.

He loves the tradition of the U. He knows he can play a lot next year. This will be his second time on campus. The weekend before signing day. CMR will bring coffee. He coming.

I remember corn said to a analyst that literally if UM offered he'd commit on the spot. **** the day before I remember him tweeting how he was waiting on UM to offer and the next morning it was done. I don't even think a position coach came to his school to offer so I guess even the staff was shocked
