I had a chance to talk with 2028 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman Zylen Little about his recruitment and where the Miami Hurricanes stand among the teams pursuing him.
Little hails from Tampa, Florida, playing his high school football for Carrollwood Day High School. He led them to a 12-1 record and 2-0 in district play.
Little told CanesInSight that their are currently multiple schools pursuing him the hardest in his recruitment: Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Syracuse, North Carolina, Louisville, Indiana, and Georgia Tech.
According to the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, he is currently viewed as a four-star prospect. He ranks as the nation's No. 183 player in the country, No. 21 defensive linemen, and No. 25 player out of the Sunshine State.
Miami currently stands sky-high in his recruitment. He told CIS that he has been a fan of Miami and he thinks he suits the Miami culture very well.
"Miami is very high priority to me," he added. "I been a fan of Miami and I know the tradition they have developing defensive linemen. I think I fit the Miami culture."
Little mentioned that he will "100%" make a home game this fall inside Hard Rock Stadium. Miami was one of the first schools to offer him.
His relationship with Hurricanes' head coach Mario Cristobal continues to grow as his recruitment continues to heat up.
"I exchange text with him and the staff multiple times a week. So right now I think it’s in a good place we are building a relationship.
