4 Simple Reasons Why Butch Davis Should Be The Next Coach

1. HISTORY: We already know he will be successful. SO WHY GUESS? See: KState and Louisville Both Re-hired Previous Coaches

2. Player Development: We already know he will be successful. SO WHY GUESS? Ask the NFL about the players he sent from UM & UNC.

3. Recruiting/The State of Miami: Butch Would Reclaim It. For example, Under Butch, Amari Cooper and Phillip Dorsett would have been 1st rounds pics from UM in 2015. Stacey Coley would be a Stud Jr. of RS Sophomore. Ermon Lane and Travis Rudolph would be RS Freshmen at UM. Calvin Ridley, Antonio Callaway and Devante Peete would be hungry lions on the practice squad scratching at anything that moves.

4. Program Stability: He is not going anywhere, Plus, the Next Coach would be on Staff being trained by, you guessed it, Butch Davis.

5. After Butch is done winning and competing for NCs, JUST MAKE HIM THE AD to oversee the MACHINE!

I think another reason is that he isn't bothered by the negativity. He's been here and done that. I think a lot of established coaches out there who are making decent money in stable situations would not bolt for Miami unless we threw SEC money at them. (doubtful) That could make Davis our only shot at hiring an established coach. Otherwise, its another up and comer type.
 
only idiots need an explanation as to why butch should be the coach, he built the best team n fkin clappy won.....nuff said

6. Butch won't require (and can't command) the $5MM+ salary that other elite coaches can get and would require from UM (and that UM seems unwilling to pay).
 
Someone needs to give Butch a chance, and I hope it's us. His age, and that whole NCAA mess at NC hurts him, not just at Miami, but other programs as well.

Wait, what's Louisville's record this year? I'm all for Butch, but an old Butch isn't a sure thing.

That's the best **** reason there is.

Butch built a team that even Fraulden could win with. Not really; got carried away.

Yes. Butch IS a sure thing.

That's what makes him very appealing.

There's no surprises, no mystery, no letdowns. Butch as been there and done that. A great program builder.

And he wants National Championships so bad he can taste them. And he knows he can do it quick at UM.

One sure thing is Butch hasn't had a job offer in 4+ years...Too much Baggage to be hired in college again..

Butch has been involved in football, almost since the day he left UNC.

In fact, through ESPN, Butch has had the significant experience of being exposed up close and personal to many coaches, offenses, and defenses across the nation. He'll spend a few days with interesting teams, talking with coaches, watching their practices, talking with coordinators, position coaches, and even players.

He's gotten to meet a ton of the WHO's WHO of college football, knows them, knows what they're doing, what works well, and who's having great success and why.

This year Butch Davis will be hired to coach football.

We either get lucky and get him, or we just may play against him - and he used to kick our asses while at UNC BEFORE he got his team completely squared away.

Butch will be hired this year. Unfortunately he'll be at the University of Maryland. I hate this effing BOT.
