Apologies if this has been covered before, but maybe someone with a better defensive mind than me can explain. On 3rd and 1 with 1:53 left (right before the go-ahead TD for FSU) why is there a six-yard cushion for the slot receiver? They ended up running the ball, so maybe FSU tipped the run off on film, but that just seems stupid to me. Anyone got an explanation?
