Seemingly an issue for this defense
There’s tons of examples of him doing just that tbhBlitzing the a gap with both LB and leaving the flats wide open or the middle of the field. If the blitz doesn’t get home the middle is wide open every single time. Need to do more creative blitzes where someone drops into the middle of the field.
Starting? Hmph… what did “it” for you?I’m starting to have concerns about the QB position
Or the QB runsYou're right. It's the weirdest thing about this defense. If we have them at 3rd and 1, I'm usually pretty confident that we'll win the LOS and stop the run.
3rd an 10? I swear teams probably convert more 3rd and long against us than 3rd and short. It's like some receiver, TE, or RB is always wide open for a short throw toward the middle of the field. I don't know if that's scheme or our DB's or a communication thing, but it's maddening as ****.
They should pull Restrepo out of practive and let TVD prepare as if he isnt playingStarting? Hmph… what did “it” for you?

That’s actually not a bad idea. They should pull Restrepo out of practive and let TVD prepare as if he isnt playing
Or the well its Miami so it has to be a penaltyPretty sure one 3rd and long was converted by penalty. Bain tried to swat the ball and followed through and smacked the QB helmet.
BTW, that is by far the dumbest penalty in football. The inadvertent helmet smack on the QB. Every other player on the field gets their helmet smacked pretty much all the time. But for some reason it is only a problem when it's the QB. I mean there is a reason they wear helmets. One of them being, when getting smacked it's a non issue. Half the time when a QB gets smacked they don't even know it because they do not feel it. Just a dumb dumb rule. A blatant whack to the head is a different story.
