There are only 12 seniors and 18 junior on this roster making this team very "young" on paper. Of those 30 upperclassmen I see 25 making the 2 deep. That means only 19 of the 44 in the 2 deep will be "underclassmen" (with AQM & Sunny being RSO's making them JR's in the classroom).

If this team craps the bed again this year, the lack of SR's on offense will be an excuse that we hear all season long. So if the excuses do start to roll in just remember 32 of the top 44 have been out of high school for at least 3 years.

3 Offensive Seniors
  1. WR Rashawn Scott (Will start)
  2. WR Herb Waters (Will be in 2 deep)
  3. OG Hunter Wells (Will be in 2 deep)

9 Defensive Seniors
  1. DT Calvin Heurtelou (Will start)
  2. DT Michael Wyche (Will be in 2 deep)
  3. DT Corey King (Should never see the field)
  4. DE Ufomba Kamalu (Should start)
  5. OLB Tyriq McCord (Should start)
  6. MLB Raphael Kirby (Will start)
  7. CB Tracy Howard (Should start)
  8. S Deon Bush (Will start)
  9. S Dallas Crawford (Will be in 2 deep)

11 Offensive Junior
  1. QB Gray Crow (Should never see the field)
  2. RB Gus Edwards (Will be in 2 deep)
  3. FB Walter Tucker (Will start)
  4. WR Stacy Coley (Will start)
  5. WR Malcolm Lewis (Will be in 2 deep)
  6. WR D'Mauri Jones (Should provide emergency depth)
  7. TE Standish Dobard (Will start)
  8. TE Jake O'Donnell Should provide emergency depth)
  9. OT Taylor Gadbois (Should start)
  10. OG Alex Gall (Should be in 2 deep)
  11. OG Danny Isidora (Will start)

7 Defensive Junior
  1. DT Earl Moore (Should provide emergency depth)
[*]DE Jelani Hamilton (Will be in 2 deep)
  2. OLB Jermaine Grace (Will start)
  3. CB Artie Burns (Will start)
  4. CB Corn Elder (Will be in 2 deep)
  5. S Jamal Carter (Will be in 2 deep)
  6. S Rayshawn Jenkins (Should start)

*Hopefully this large number of SR's & JR's on the defensive side of the ball will finally be the difference and make this a 10 win team*

Today, upon receiving a 5-year contract extension, Al Grolden was asked for the cause of the season's 4-10 record, "We had a very young team, that made lots of critical mistakes. But that's on me", he added.

Lol we have so little upperclassmen because THEY ALL ******* LEFT BECAUSE THEY WERE TIRED OF THIS BULL**** STAFF!

Attrition is a real b.... -- that is why good leaders don't have much of it. Al has tons of it except where he should.

op laying the excuse foundation smh

LOL if you would read the post you would see that my point is to kill the potential excuse. In theory this is a young team but the 2 deep if filled with upperclassmen who have tons of experience. 90% of the 25 upperclassmen that will be in the 2 deep have been in the 2 deep since they were freshmen. It is often said that most guys don't make their biggest jump until they are in their 3rd season in college, well 27 guys in the 2 deep will be in their 3rd or 4th season.

So again this staff can not use "youth" as an excuse.

To add to this, of the remaining 17 players that could make the 2 deep 16 will be Sophomore who saw significant playing time as freshmen.
  1. QB Brad Kaaya (Will start)
  2. HB Joseph Yearby (Will be in 2 deep)
  3. WR Braxton Berrios (Will be in 2 deep)
  4. TE Chris Herndon (Could be in the 2 deep)
  5. OT Trevor Darling (Will start)
  6. OT Kc McDermott (Will be in 2 deep)
  7. OT Sunny Odogwu (Will be in 2 deep)
  8. OC Nick Linder (Will start)
  9. DE Al-Quadin Muhammad (Will start)
  10. DE Chad Thomas (Will be in 2 deep)
  11. DE Trent Harris (Will be in 2 deep)
  12. DT Courtel Jenkins (Could be in 2 deep)
  13. DT Anthony Moten (Will be in 2 deep)
  14. OLB Darrion Owens (Will be in 2 deep)
  15. OLB Marques Gayot (Could be in the 2 deep)
  16. MLB Juwon Young (Will be in 2 deep)

THIS IS NOT A YOUNG TEAM

Golden's main excuse this year will be cb depth.I can see him now crying over and over how we only have 3 cbs with any experience on the team.Of course not a single reporter will shot back at him why is he there going into his 5th season. '

This entire roster is Al's so no excuses. Every Blandito kid is gone and it's solely on Al's **** poor roster management that we continue to try and have to win games with kids that should be redshirting yet are on the field making "too many ME's"

Your math is horrible....
