I'd offer him as well. Worth rewarding guys like that for senior seasons and they need WR depth with the upcoming departures

I think the more time this takes - the better it bodes for us. Gives the staff time to see if they can fit him into the NIL budget as well, because he isn’t nor shouldn’t sign with us for “free”
 
this kid shouldve been had the offer. The morning after last week lost to sta he should ve had an offer after what he did or maybe even before considering he is up for palm beach player of the year.

I dont care about ranking but his name kind of been buzzing in south florida circles since spring on my radar as being a dog....so when i saw @RozayCane and @DC3 make threads i knew it was legit.

I personally would take just so FSU doesnt get an easy grab like this and if he doesnt make a move processing aint as bad.

I mean this is Mike Rumphs school and i dont thinkw e even offered a kid from there ever an Atlantic is typically top 2 or 3 in palm beach yearly for like the last decade or more.

Guessing the take just didn’t fit with the management of the roster. I’d be willing to bet had Toney not signed, we’d taken this kid.

In truth, for 2025 we have a 3rd year slot in RayRay, 2nd year slot in Carr, and two freshman in Toney/Upshaw.

We’re going to need 1 poutside WR to pair with Horton/Brown to compete with 2nd year players Chance/JoJo and freshman Moore.

At the end of the day we cannot take everyone - even if they are deserving.

I'd be willing to bet that RayRay will move on.

And if we can't seem to land a taller outside receiver, that's not because we are "loading up" on slot guys. We just missed. Over and over and over again, at least in this cycle.

That’s the unfortunate part, I agree with you about RayRay - but its fan speculation (assuming you/others know this as fact) and we can’t expect our HC to bring in a kid off that.

Now, if Mario knows RayRay is considering leaving, that’s a completely different situation - and have Mario/OC to discuss whether to go Portal or bring in a 3rd freshman slot WR.

IMO I think they had to decide whether to keep Upshaw or drop him for Hoffman. Hoffman broke out his Sr year but Upshaw played well too. Toney is a cut above both so he had his spot secured imo.

He tore up STA and everyone else in Palm Beach County-
He was the best WR in Palm Beach county-
It’s no surprise what’s he doing at NC State-

I was at that STA/Atlantic game-None of STA’s vaunted DB’s could handle Teddy-

Just like Cocoa’s Jayvan Boggs he tore up the Aquinas secondary too.
