3/29/24 Game 27: Clemson 15-11 L

With as frustrating as tonight has been with countless opportunities for the offense to score, it should be 3-3 at a minimum right now if the ump doesn't make one of the worst calls I've ever seen on what was 100% bases loaded ball 4

Should be a tie game. It's the little things that are killing us.

The runner heading into 3rd doesn't pick up the coach right away and slows down as if to go into a slide which causes him to trip going around 3rd. If he picks up the coach right away, he like scores and the game is tied.

Long has to put the ball in play. He was too aggressive swinging at balls that would have done nothing if contact was made. It's better than striking out looking, but you need to get into a positive count where the hitter has the leverage and likely a much better pitch to hit.
 
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pitcher miss this bad with the slider 5 straight times.

Yep, fundamental base-running error. Fenster was sending him once they started kicking it around.

Roberts has such inconsistent mechanics. Throws a strike then misses 2 feet above the strike zone. Throws another strike, then misses low falling off the mound.

Needs to calm himself.

Canes lose 3-2.

Should have won this series already holding that offense to so little runs.

Ball 4 not called a few innings ago would have already had it tied but this was another opportunity to tie after the ump blew a call
 
We let the pitches at the knees go for strikes and swing at fastballs above the letters.

It's the little things that are holding this team back.
 
This was the game of what ifs. Clemson held the door open & we refused to walk through. Way too many men left on base today
