I have to say, the strike zone has been really good and consistent. The umpire behind the plate needs to be in the ACC.

It’s Arthur Thigpen. He’s one of the few ACC umps I like.

These umps all get around between conferences, especially midweek. I can always recognize Thigpen, because he’s an impressively big dude.

I’ve never seen anything quite like us not able to get shutdown innings. The law of averages in baseball would tell you it’s easy to get a shutdown inning but you would have to think we’re one of the worst in the country at getting a shutdown after scoring. I imagine Our numbers are astronomically bad
