Since 2013 we've played 120 games and during that time 4 TDs have given the Hurricanes a win 87% of the time no matter who has coached. When this team scores 4 TDs they have only lost on 8 occasions. The issue is we've only hit that mark in half (51%) of our games over the last 10 seasons. Once we look at the games when we score 27 or below the stats become awful, we lose 67% of those games. We have only won 19 times in 10 seasons scoring under 28. This defense in every aspect has only needed 4 TDs and we could have had a 10-win every year. Amazing

... and Duke only put up 20 in an overtime loss to Georgia Tech the week prior.

Enough of the transitive property stuff. Per the OP, if Miami scores 28 or more per game, the Canes have a good shot at winning football games.

I feel like in today's game, slow-and-pro can only work if 1) you score on practically all your possessions or 2) the opposition is playing that way, too. Everyone wants to have their way on the ground, go 9 minutes every drive and punch the ball in the end zone without having to throw. Well guess what, not even Alabama can do that anymore.

If you come out slow, don't score, and the opponent is playing fast and scoring, you run the risk of getting boat-raced right out of the game in the 2nd quarter.

IMO today's game is glorified flag football. You don't have to like it (and I don't), but it is what it is. Gotta score lots of points to win consistently.

false, scoring averages are up since 2013.

It’s not false because the stats aren’t based off of averages but actual scores. You can score 50, 17, 21 and your average is 29. But you only scored over 22 one time.
