25-26 Transfers

You do realize that ALL SCHOOLS have to pay money to players to fulfill the terms of the PROPOSED House settlement, right?

And that schools like Quinnipiac, which does NOT have a football team, can put all of that money towards basketball.

If only you knew who William Weldon is...multi-millionaire former CEO of Johnson & Johnson.

You make it sound like Quinnipac is a destination school with all the money they have available!
I am sure they will be getting all the best transfers soon.

I don’t think it’s a destination school. I think they have money like every other school and have to play players. If they want to give a big amount to retain one of their own players that isn’t that unrealistic. Without looking at what sports they offer I could see they giving most of their cash to basketball and hockey. He could be getting a stupid amount to return.

It would be a great story when Luis transfers to Miami and they play St Johns in the 2026 NCAA tournament as Luis eliminates his former coach from the NCAA tournament.
Great storyline but a lot has to happen in the next 340 days for that to happen. A LOT!

If he returns to college, I hope Miami gets him. We'd have loved for RJ to stay, but he has the NBA on his mind.

Keep an eye on the portal, and who is visiting Queens this weekend. Rick's not losing much sleep over RJ, or anyone else for that matter.

I got to scout him more but he looks like a defense first guard. Shooting #’s aren’t good, particularly his FT’s.
Maybe the FT% but 11+ ppg on 43% from the field and 34% from 3 is certainly not ‘defense first’.

He was the third leading scorer on a team that went to the second weekend of the tourney

We got a prediction that we are going to land Tru Washington from New mexico
He is related to TyTy Washington.. who played at Kentucky while Jai Lucas was there.

I was told TyTy is his nephew but he is older than him. Guess its possible but idk if it was a typo and he is TyTy's nephew.

Defense first wasn’t meant to be a knock on him. His steal rate is very good. Over one steal for every 14 minutes

We need a lead guard/wing who can score in bunches and stretch the floor. I don’t think he fits the bill but he would certainly be a high-level rotation player

Definitely seems like we are banking on Harun Zrno to come here and be that guy. The fit would be immaculate with what we've brought in.

Washington is actually a sniper from the left side of the arc as a lefty shooter. He shot 48% from the left side above the break and like 40% from the left corner. So he has the stroke, just needs to get more comfortable on the other side or schemed to get shots over there with Donaldson/hopefully Zrno taking shots on the other side more frequently.

Tre and Tru backcourt lol.

But Tru seems like a 3 and D type SG, not strictly limited to that, but seems like his specialty. His anticipation in passing lanes is very good, though the steal numbers may be inflated from the Pitino system defense.

He actually seems like a solid shooter. He hit a terrible slump starting in mid February that tanked his season % but before that was shooting well.

Good player, definitely a take. Preferably, I'd want him as a 6th man, but wouldn't be upset if he starts. The defensive lineup is shaping up to be legit.

Offense....needs to hit big on that last spot.

Hopefully that's where the Serbian can come in. But this roster still would really be missing some long athletic rangy wings who can shoot and drive.
