247 Updated Composite Rankings

There are camps so I would disagree. In the end though, the only rankings that matter are the final ones, but there is definitely reasons for them to change throughout the summer.
So Mannings rating didnt get changed, because...? Or Ewers, when he missed every second throw in these camps trying to look fancy?

Besides, there are former NFL OL laughing at camp reps because they are ridiculous and present zero value. Yet, "analysts" change ratings based on that.

247 ratings and rankings are a fan thing and that's about it.

They thought Manning was the **** so he stayed on top. Regarding the second statement, the rankings are far from perfect as scouting isn’t an exact science. Look no further than the NFL that spends millions upon millions scouting players that are far more finished products at 20+ than a kid a in HS and they still get it wrong all the time. At this point anyone arguing against the rankings in the aggregate is either willfully ignorant or just trolling.

People arguing against rankings are willfully ignorant or trolling because the evaluation gets done by people with a degree in journalism and absolutely no history of 1. playing at a relatively decent level 2. having some form of career in scouting or football administration and 3. being completely biased towards certain conferences SEC whilst opposing certain teams (Miami) and hyping certain players because of surnames (Manning).

Okay. I can't wait to tell people this when they question Mel Kipers rankings for the NFL draft. Bunch of trolls, evidently.

Judd Anderson is a work in progress folks.

He’ll drop a few more times as other sites complete their summer evaluations.

He’s not going to move up like Emory Williams did because he just doesn’t do enough events. And for ranking purposes, he was just ok at the Elite 11 Regionals.

Agreed. Which means his senior year is substantially more important than others.

Sports Illustrated had him ranked 3rd overall.

These recruiting websites really have us by the gonads with their clickbait BS... No one has played any games, yet they move up and down the rankings on these sites.
Summer camp circuit and 7v7 my guy. Then there’s another update after their seasons I think, then one shortly before ESD. The one after their senior seasons is the big one I think.

We have a coach that would be the first to tell you that recruiting class rankings matter, while at the same time having fans basically saying, “f*ck the rankings, trust Coach Cristobal.”

You just can’t explain that.
DMoney was the source there too - quite literally said Mario will be the first to tell you that stars matter (as will hundreds of pages of data).

You can certainly be in the boat that says it’s too early to panic and be concerned with the state of the class. That’s fine. But those going out of their way to justify the current quality of it are beyond asinine.
