247 taking the Offensive in support of Gattis

The people who are making the “I’m not defending Gattis, but..” arguments are defending him lol.

They just know they don’t really have anything substantial to actually ground the argument in, so they’re attempting to say our players are so bad that they’ve actually made Gattis’s Offense worse, which is tangentially hilarious because even teams like North Texas, Georgia Southern, FAU, Ohio (not Oh ST, the Ohio Bobcats), UTSA, UTEP & Tulsa all have better Offenses than us.

Not what I’d love for someone to do is try to make an argument that FAU or North Texas has more talent or a winning Culcha

The best swerve I’ve seen all season is people trying to convince the board that you can’t have a functional offense without a team with over 50+ 5-stars lol

I mean Washington is in year ONE & of Kalen DeBoer’s tenure, brand new QB, not a loaded roster by any stretch of the imagination, definitely can’t make the Culcha argument in that situation either because they were 4-8 last year with Jimmy Lake getting fired a week after he was suspended for physically accosting one of his players & they very clearly had a toxic locker room...

But somehow they’re still 6-2 with a top 3 ranked Offense 👀...
I wonder how they managed to pull that off? 🤔...
Probably has nothing to do with the HC/OC though 🤷🏽‍♂️
Gattis is awful. And on a separate note, I’ll take Oregon State’s cornerbacks over our group.

Parrish must have a great game this is a key followed by Restrepo .

D front seven will prevail

GOCANES

Some of Y'all all jare ust silly. Use anything and even make up **** to fit the narrative you want.

You were calling for Lashlee's head at one time before TVD took off.
.
Have realistic expectations for year 1 and a ton of injuries.

Some of this **** is just comical.
We’ve already had two games this year with zero touchdowns.

This offense scores less than the 2019 Enos offense with Jarren Williams at quarterback.

My “unrealistic” expectations are actually scoring touchdowns?

Any team with a good-to-great defense pushed Lashee’s chit in.

Clemson, Alabama, Michigan State…

this is just evidence of how bad Gattis is.

We all agree the talent on offense isn’t great.

But Lashlee took that not great talent and put points up on every team except those ones that had defenses good enough to where his scheme couldn’t hide the talent against them.

Gattis took that same level of talent and his scheme can’t score on Middle Tennessee State.

This guy loves saying that nonsense lol

No argument there

Can we just copy and paste this every time we see those posts?

The same people who think we don’t have enough talent to score a touchdown against Virginia complain that Lashlee’s offense struggled against Clemson and Alabama.

BTW, his offense actually scored touchdowns against both those teams even though his players were completely overmatched

It always makes me chuckle when someone says, "Oh yeah, well that coach's scheme sucks because he couldn't beat top defenses (or offenses)." Truly groundbreaking analysis - its harder to score points against good defenses or stop good offenses from scoring points.

Right now I have less faith in this UM team to beat FSU than maybe any team we've had in the last 15 years because of Cristobals putrid offense. Does Gattis make it worse? Yes. But it is a fact that the Ducks only scored 40+ points against P5 teams 6 times during Mario's entire tenure there. Lanning already has equaled that achievement halfway through his FIRST season. And spare me the "he just needs his players" nonsense. In his 3rd and 4th season when he brought in nearly all his own recruits, he managed to score 40+ against a P5 only two times over that span. It ain't just Gattis. In Shallah, Cristobal has finally after all this time realized that hes not going to achieve anything unless he changes his offensive philosophy and starts spreading the field, but we hoped the same thing when Richt was HC. Guess we'll see.
