247 article on OC prospects

I want a mad scientist type who is more exes and Os young prospect then hire elite coaches and recruiters around him. Guy who draws it up and staff around to get the players and teach technique. Oline coach the most important hire to me.

They are all affordable right now. LSU will instantly counter. Texas Tech fans are mixed on Yost, so he might be had. Gleeson is the one that has the biggest upside IMO.

LSU will back up the truck for Brady and put $2M on his lap. No way he leaves LSU and that money for our dumpster fire
Yost appears to value family time and seems loyal to the TT HC so doubt he can be bought but maybe
Gleasson apparently makes like $550K so $1M should buy him...

Note i fully expect Manny to hire Applesauce or Fedora. Manny prove me wrong please

Of the list I'd narrow it to Yost, Lashlee, Hall and Ruggiero. The Wake Forest guy is intriguing. 12th in the nation in offense (seriously, how much talent are they working with?) and knows the ACC.

Is there still any love for Jedd Fisch? He's apparently the Rams "clock-management specialist" now. Not sure how much that pays, but he's not calling the plays for McVay.

It's so Miami that one of our former OCs is now in charge of clock management.

Firm believer that if it isn't working on the left then it's time to go to the right. Pro Set has been straight garage for the last 15 years. Time to go right with a full on Air Raid offense.

David Yost is the only option.

Agreed.

Well what top flight OC will come here. People like to dream we have some clout to get top assistants. This is Randy 2.0 where no one is going to touch us because Diaz is a dead man walking. So yeah we should roll the dice.

Exactly. That's why I would try Brian Hartline. There is no way we can command someone with proven results. With Hartline there is no track record. But there is potential that he's simply a clear cut above the crowd. Grab a sharp guy like that and make him head coach at age 34 or 35. Who knows...he might be here for 30 years. This program is not in position to patch here and patch there and somehow pretend we'll restore to national championship level. It's going to take one bold move that pans out.
