For those of you casual baseball fans: one reason Yoyo may have dropped is the signing bonus. Every team has a pool of dollars in which to sign their picks: some have more than others. There’s a lot of horse trading that goes on behind the scenes. If they want to save money, they’ll take a player higher that’s willing to sign at a dollar amount less than his slot. Yoyo may have been firm on a number and scared some teams off. Or it’s just Gino’s fault.

Start looking at teams with a lot of Comp picks and high pools if his ask has been scaring teams off. Nats and Reds are two that fit that profile.
