Austin Rivers runs a really good program. This kid is going to be very good.

Also, as i said innumerable times when he got the job & when billy Donovan was rumored, these guys are going to have natural advantages because dudes they coached have future d1 kids now; or younger brothers etc.

Michael Malone coached this kid’s father, Reggie Evans, on the Sacramento Kings. Won’t be the last advantage Michael Malone has either.

Lotta African big men getting brought over earlier and earlier….i hate to even say this yet parents aren’t wrong to have their suspicions of a lotta these kids’ true ages.

Anyways, a lotta them aren’t even all that. I haven’t this kid play tho

I hear you about Reggie Evans Jr and you are right.
However, the 2029 class has Josiah Brooks, Drayne McDaniels, Josh Sanders and Cayden Gaskins. If those 4 guys continue to develop on their current path and they commit to Miami, I am sure you will be ok with not getting Evans Jr.
You can't have them all but as long as the guy you get is as good or better, you can't really be mad.

That's the Joel Embiid effect.
You are right, none of them are "all that" but they are 7 feet tall.
This is where player development along with strength and conditioning program come in. Sadly, player development is lacking in the prep ranks because there are more games than practices.
Coaches can't throw NIL money to fix this problem. Coaches will have to start taking a kid like this, expect to have him in your program for a few years, create a development plan for him to get the most out of his abilities.
Player retention along with player development will always beat "portal Kombat" because the portal doesn't have as much talent as people think.

Just pointing out UNC & Iowa have natural advantages
 


Sure it's early but 4 kids from the state of Florida are already in the top 10.
Josiah Brooks, RJ Evans Jr, Cayden Gaskins and Draydne McDaniel are definitely names to watch going forward.
