4-star running back Xander Edwards continues to build a strong relationship with the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff as his recruitment process heats up.

Edwards has quickly emerged as one of the top running backs in his class, earning attention from several major programs across the country like Indiana, Penn State, Florida State, and Duke. Along with his offer from Miami, he continues to see his recruitment grow as more schools stay in contact. According to 247Sports, Edwards is rated as the No. 117 overall prospect and is viewed as one of the rising running backs in the nation.

Edwards recently spoke to me about his excitement surrounding the opportunity to compete at Miami’s Legends Camp and work closely with running backs coach, Coach Upshaw.

“I’m excited to compete at the Legends Camp and learn from the RB coach, Coach Upshaw.

The talented running back also praised head coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes staff for the way they’ve handled his recruitment.

“Coach Cristobal and the Miami staff have been doing a great job throughout this recruiting process,” Edwards said. “They’ve really shown me that I’m one of their top guys, and that means a lot to me.”

As the recruiting process continues, Miami is making a strong impression on Edwards, and the upcoming Legends Camp will be another important opportunity for both sides to continue building that relationship.
